Hi All, I'm trying to navigate the best possible way to create interactive maps, taken from Google Maps, placing my own individual markers on and then allowing viewers to add their own comments to the markers. E.g. Taking an aerial shot of a fishing lake, adding markers on it to indicate all the different pegs and then allowing users to click on each peg and post their catch, bait used, distance fished etc. Would any know where I could begin with this? Hi All! I haven't been on here in a while, too busy studying to even communicate! I have a little bit of good news for anybody who is interested. I recently had a disaster with my iPhone which involved pulling it out of my pocket, press the lock button only to have it completely fall off! (The button, not my pocket ) As it was still under a year old, I booked an appointment to see someone at Apple and basically as it was still under warranty, they gave me a brand new 3GS, like for like! So, my proposal is does anyone wish to buy it? I have had it literally a couple of hours, I can't be asked to carry around this tombstone of a phone anymore and am now looking to purchase a Blackberry. Of course the phone is immaculate (as you would expect) original film still around it, I have the original box, sync cable, SIM Removal tool (I.e. a fancy looking paperclip!) It's currently running the latest software, courtesy of Apple this afternoon. I'm looking for offers of around £300. Please feel free to ask anything. Cheers!

I work in Payroll for a large consumer magazine (don't know if I'm allowed to post any company names!). Oher than that, I'm studying my HTML and CSS! Hanging with the GF, dossing on the TV/Xbox, or having a few cheeky guinesses down the pub!

I echo what zed said. It is just too....Grey! My initial thoughts were that this site was far from a Web Designers site. It was more informative, instead of "Wow" Factor. Granted, I'm not an expert Web Designer, but I'm just voicing my opinion if I were a consumer who came across your site. Hi all, I'm creating a website for a Locksmith, and he wants a map on his site to show area's covered? Preferably a map which just shows pretty much the whole area in one picture, but with highlighting and "boundries" showing the areas he actually covers? Any ideas? I tried Google maps but it doesn't seem to have the facilities, unless i'm looking in the wrong place. Thanks.

I woke up this morning, gazed at the awful weather outside, bought The Sun, turned to back page, it read "24 Hours to go til the word cup"....And then it hit me. I was overwhelmed by a feeling like no other. I suddenly realised, I've got World Cup fever!!! A whole month of not just watching England play, but watching every other team play, it's great! I'm officially excited!!!

Hi all, I was wondering, how did most people find it to secure a job in Web Design? I'm currently trawling through the W3 tutorials on HTML & CSS, and then hopefully XHTML and then PSD to CSS etc. But how much do you need to know, to land a Junior role in Web Design? Do you need to have a portfolio, or would some employers be impressed if you could just showcase how much you knew in theory, without having any practical case studies, i.e. A Portfolio. Thanks guys!

Mine was 2 and half hours. It doesn't actually feel that long. It's the initial outline that kills me! It's like a compass scraping your back! Didn't help I was on the pi$$ the night before, I was bleeding like all over the shop! lol

I would have put a lot of money on Argentina winning it, especially with Messi, let's not beat around the bush, he IS the best player out there at the moment. But I don't think Maradonna has the capability to take them to the final, with strange moves like omitting Cambiasso from the squad? Who has a fantastic season with Inter Milan?! It makes the mind wonder... Flipside, I think England have a very good chance, but like most chances we get, we fluff them and end up paying the price. I'm not suprised about Walcott being dropped, he is nothing more than a greyhound and doesn't really have any gift with a football, just pure pace. I think Milner has a chance to shine, and I pray Joe Cole has a chance to give England back the flair he once gave them. I have an awful feeling Rooney will finish the tournament goal-less. Nevertheless, I hope our boys will do us pround in South Africa in 8 days time.
