Why is Firefox The best?
I agree, plus the IE Developer Toolbar is really poor in comparrison to Firefox's. I can't see myself switching from Firefox for a long time. I also use extensions to increase speed performance even further.

How is this scrolling effect achieved?
I love how the way people are coming up with different ways a website can be navigated. Thanks for posting those links to the website and also the solutions, I found them really useful. I'd love to come up with something like that straight away, I guess i'm getting better. New websites like that do inspire me.

What is the average hourly rate for a Web Designer?
Normally front end, I design the website and then code it in CSS/XHTML. I don't get my hands to dirty with coding I would probably outsource that requirement, I rarely pitch for or land jobs that require alot of coding, so I would class myself as a Front End Designer that can turn it into a fully funtional webpage.

FUBAR answer machine messages
ha ha ha! they are really funny, nice impression "I Vannt to kisss youuu" - How bizzare that people actually do that, maybe he was a tad bored that night. I don't think I have had anything as funny as what you have had, only the "Just pick up the PHONE would YOU" then slam the phone down from an angry customer at work...it's great playing it back to your colleagues over and over again. Thanks for posting those they made me laugh to myself imaging the scenario.

What is the average hourly rate for a Web Designer?
I always wonder, what is the going rate for a Web Designer? There's always that fear of undercutting yourself and on the other hand overcharging, how do you set your rates? Is there a national pricing structure to go by?

PageRank Update i'v gone up!
Google has updated my PageRank and i'v gone from a PR1 to a PR3 which is nice, considering I havn't done much marketing for it. Has anyone else been effected by the latest Google PageRank update?

My Website
Yeah, I think with websites showcasing other websites and designs you want to keep your website as neautral as possible so it doesn't clash with the other designs. A good showcase website that does this well is CSSRemix. I like the way your votes are counted in realtime with the stars.

Adobe Fireworks CS3 Resources
Hey Matt Adobe has a pretty good knowledge base for Fireworks CS3 here is the link: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/designcenter/...works&go=Go Also there is links on the left about mid-way down the page that list other Fireworks resources, there's bound to be plenty of thing toget you started there. If your learning Web 2.0 styles my advice is to get to grips with the gradients and effects and drop shadows. If you have any questions just ask. I'd be happy to help.

CSS Div Hover how to do I make Div's Hover effect?
It's exactly that Penguin, the need to load seperate images is uneeded and it's a seamless transition. Plus I like the way it utilises li's.

CSS Div Hover how to do I make Div's Hover effect?
That's really neat, your moving the background position via percentages rather than whole numbers. I never thought about using that method as I always moved mine "-50px" for example. I like it Sebastian, it also eradicates the need for 2 images. Thanks for the post, i'll be trying this out. Not bad at all for a first post

How can I make Bullet Points Bigger/Smaller?
Trick is to export the bullet point with more spacing to compensate for the extra white space so it sit's inline with the text. For example you would create a 15px x 15px bullet point graphic - if it the text is out of line by 4px - the you increase the canvas size to 15px x 19px (the extra 4px is white space) so this is a cheats way of making it sit properly and is commonly used. Reciprocal Links for all my websites: Good or Bad practice?
I have a 4 websites sitting on my reseller hosting account that I want to link to each other, in a hope it will improve my rankings. Though the content is not entirely similar. How does Google view websites linking to each other, can it tell that I own them and will I get penilised for doing so? Any advice with this would be appreciated

How can I make Bullet Points Bigger/Smaller?
Yes, another reason to use images is you can also add a custom style rather than the standard shapes.

Do you Value Google PR?
I certainly do, but it seems the focus is now geared towards SERP and my position within that. I'll always welcome good backlinks etc. But I tend to focus on delivering good content and optimising my Title & description tags over PR. DK.

Hi Mobile. Have you tried using a IE6 specific hack such as * html .conteneur { } and adjust the margin so it compensates fo rthe margin IE6 is giving it? I'll have a look at your code properly later and see if I can help further. DK.

Sportsaver.co.uk revamp
Now that's an improved website..the layout between products has more spaced and is much better organised. I like the grey fade on each product it really add's a little something extra to it without going over the top. Much, much better than the original, so I guess the owners will be pleased. One thing I noticed is the text on the descriptions has some spacing issues between words. I like it. DK.
