Hello all, Having some issues on a friends site where by an error message 'Upload error: You must enter a picture location.' keeps showing whenever an image is uploaded on the 'add an image' page. The unusual thing is, the website and coding files do not get accessed and it was working fine just days before. I am not an expert with coding nor PHP and I am more of a designer but I said I know the forum to ask for help . Here is the link if anyone can have a peak into the coding. Hey all! Building a new responsive Wordpress theme. It is my first time with PHP, Wordpress and Responsive Design. Due to me taking on a lot at once, I decided to use a base theme to get me started. After stripping it down and editing the style to my liking, I have come up with an issue with my shop layout. The products are not displaying correctly. Rather than clearing to the side of one another, they are floating in a single column. I have stripped the code down and gone over it again. No luck. I must be missing something obvious here but could do with a fellow designer to have a peek. The site is nowhere near finished yet but I would rather get this issue fixed before continuing. Thank you for your help. Sorry for the late reply been busy as hell! I haven't looked into GitHub before. In the end I just rebuilt it from scratch. Actually didn't take as long. I will have to look into GitHub soon. Cheers again mate.

Hey all! I no this topic has been previously brought up however, I think I must have another underlying issue. Basically I have edited an existing theme from THEME FORREST to suit my needs. I also got the content and CSS perfect. I now want to transfer it all to another domain. Due to the fact I designed it with my domain, I didn't realise it would be this much of a ball-ache! All the guides I have read up on were all dating back 4 years ago using phpmyadmin to create database backups etc etc. Well I tried this and the the new domain would not show the website style correctly as I edited it, almost like it resorted back to default. I have used my FTP to copy and paste the entire blog from one server to the other and again had no luck. I thought this was a CSS issue or perhaps the blog is still trying to contact the old domain. Hope I put my point across clear enough to get some advice. Cheers all in advanced! J

Hey all! Been a while since I have posted! But I need your professional advice now on the very common issue of hosting. My current provider is absolutely superb but I am after some more features on my existing reseller package that they cannot supply. I want the feature to upgrade my created CPANEL accounts to have various privileges so I can create a partner reseller account to manage his own CPANEL accounts. Also, it is possible to create additional admin user names so that my partner can access my account without my login details. I have been told CPANEL cannot do the multiple login account per account feature I wanted... can anyone clarify this. This would be handy If I am away and he can deal with one of my clients issues. Is this done through creating privileges on an account in WHM? I have been reading up on it recently and it is a feature I need, rather than me giving out my login details and him creating a new reseller account. I would rather it all managed within one master account. I have also been told this giving custom privileges to accounts is only available with VPS hosting. I am after CPANEL controls as i am used to this; I am after at least 10GB of space; I am after at least 30GB of bandwidth. I am open to cloud reseller hosting also but this is probably not essential for me just yet. I will also be wanting SSL certificates set up on my website. I heard that a 'wildcard' certificate is best if you want all subdomains covered. Would this include logging into webmail and cpanel? Also would this mean if someone accessed my site without the 'www.' that I would need a 'wildcard' certificate? How would I then offer my existant clients SSL Certificates on their sites that I host? Is it just a case of purchasing a new Certificate or are there multi-certificate options for resellers such as myself? Just to clarify, I am not a reseller as such. I just offer hosting for clients I design for rather than selling hosting as a service. How would you guys resolve these issues? Cheers all! Loves ya, Jay x

Hey all, just wondering if you guys can give me some advice. I am not an expert within web design and development but I am a keen learner. I have designed a few sites and hosted them myself in my reseller account. I tend to set up and configure the domain emails via CPANEL along with setting up forwards and auto-responders. I think at the moment the webmails I set up for myself and clients all use Horde. Just wondering is this the best and efficient way to use emailing online via your domain? Contact forms I use are simple pre-made simple contact form linking to a PHP file. An example of my contact form I use is here http://bit.ly/sKKJpG Just wondering if there is a better contact form out there. More efficient and spam friendly. What do you guys use? I just feel my forms are very basic and outdated.

Thanks for the feedback. Managed to adjust the site now. Just a couple of padding/margin css errors showing up in IE. Should I use conditional rules for IE to sort this out?

Hey there, I have noticed that one of my site designs looks great in FireFox, Chrome, Safari but doesn't quite look right in IE. The floating DIVS are all over the place. Can you take a look and give me some advice on a quick fix? Cheers, jay

I have a transparent background PNG image which is set to repeat in the CSS however, I have been sent a screenshot from one person of it fading which is clearly a problem. Here is a screenshot of how it should look: Here is a screenshot of how it shows on his pc: Is this a cross browser/platform issue or something on their side. Were you having issues before? Where you can only see the flash background and not the site?

Okay I did this. It really confusing as I have asked a lot of other people to test the site with IE8 and other browsers on both Windows and OSX and they say it is fine! hmmmm

Had a play around with the Z-INDEX and still no luck. The site seems to work well on my systems at home and everyone else's except two people. The use Vista and IE8, Firefox and Chrome. All same issues. Backgrounder works, but not sign of overlaying site!

I have noticed with some older Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers, the main site is not showing and only the background slideshow shows. Any of you guys could check out the site and look at the code to see what I am missing. Cheers. http://www.jamieemmanuel.com/Site4.0/

I have literally just did this for a site lol! But now looking at incorporating a flash xml slideshow background rather than the one image. I used #background { position : fixed; width : 100%; height : auto; } This meant the image will stay in proportion by using the width 100% along site height auto!

I have had a lot of top of the range phones but nothing quite cuts it like the iPhone. Whos cares that the camera is poor compared to the 8-12Megapixels out there, lets be honest, a phone is not a camera and Apple designed the camera to be used for social network uploads! Who care the bluetooth online send files to other iphones! I can quite honestly say, I never need to send files via bluetooth to friends/families phones! Who cares about video calling (pre-iPhone4) we only use it a couple of times and never again! Who cares about the lack of full control over the iOS... multitasking, background changing, theme changing, etc etc, just Jailbreak it! Simple and Safe as Pie! Apple are allowed to have certain features on their phone dated simply because although they might be dated, they often function so well you end up not noticing any issues or differences. The sheer quality of the product in terms of technology, appearance and durability is just waaaaay out there and the Apple Customer Service is top notch especially for business needs. The iOS and every app runs so smoothly and quickly! You put the iPhone up against ANY other phone in terms of quality and performance (not on paper but actually how the iOS runs) it will destroy all top end competitors. My first iPhone was a 32GB White 3GS part as an o2 business contract. I loved it! Saw the new HTC HD with the lovely slimness and huge screen, although it runs very nicely for a windows mobile phone, the sharpness and smoothness of the OS and screen quality cannot match the iPhone. I need apps opening immediatley! I am no apple mad fan! I used to be anti-apple thinking why spend so much when there are products cheaper such as mobiles, mp3 players and computers. Well now after going into the media industry the last couple of years and needing to rely on high quality and powerful equipment and great customer service, Apple is a win! You pay for quality! OMG what am I saying!? I am an APPLE FAN! What am I turning into! I have always been a PC man but the last couple of years relied on macs for Final Cut Pro and such. Now after going to use a PC it just does not feel nice! Mwhahahahaha! ANYWAYSSSS ... I get the option to upgrade to the iPhone4 which looks lovely! Still tempted to unlock and sell for the going £7-800 on FleaBay! @Frost Tear Is the iPhone 4 really worth it compared the 3GS or shall I flog it and make some mullar, then wait for the next one in 12 months?
