Hiya!

Really pulling my hair out on this one, I'm working on a client site and normally I use UpdraftPlus to backup however for some strange reason I thought I'd try out BackWup.

After installing and running a backup I noticed the site incredibly slow, 60+ seconds loading times which is well off, even after the backup finished.

So I've uninstalled BackWup but the site is now either incredibly slow or just refuses to load. I'm really stuck with what has happened, I can't think if there's a load of data or temporary files somewhere from BackWup that’s lugging the site.

Any help or advice would be incredibly appreciated, thank you.

There is a whole load of junk on the site, but the man problem appears to be your hosting. You need to talk to Go Daddy

Would you kindly elaborate on the junk on the site so I've got a direction for cleaning it?

You have installed a wholeload of plugins that aren't needed.

One of these is the slider - they are ineffective.

You also have an instagram feed. Why? You have got people on the site, you don't want them to leave.

I also see BB-press. Do you really need this?

Every time you add a plugin it slows down the site.

Do you have a backup you can restore before you installed the plugin from UpdraftPlus? Ideally both files and database.
