First of all, not sure whether I chose the right category.

So here is my problem. I am a website designer working in Dubai. I want to offer customers a subscription service, so they pay a monthly fee and I design, build, maintain, update and host their website. Everything is going fine, despite the payments. I'm not sure how I will let customers pay for this service. Let's say if I have a few hundred customers, I guess it would be really inconvenient and inefficient if I had to send a invoice/bill to those few hundred companies each month for a relatively low price. Then I also have to check if they have paid on time etc... Does anyone has a better idea on how to do my payment portal and how to integrate this in the right way on my website? How exactly does this work?

To give some extra information.

 

Is it really needed to make customers visit us and use their CreditCard data to start a recurring fee? And then automatically receive the money? Or is it also possible to do this all online?

Last time I looked, and this was with reference to recurring annual subsriptions to a charity, I found two options

1. paypal
2. gocardless

And obviously the normal old banking procedures like standing orders.

There are web based tools you can use to aid you if what you're trying to accomplish, for example www.intuit.com are a booking keeping/accounting service where you can keep track of your customers send out invoices etc, you can all link it to your bank so that you can automate most of the manual labor involved.

 

Failing that you'll just have to do it the old fashioned way by doing your books once a month and checking clients have paid.

 

As for the subscription payment, as Tim mentioned Paypal offer a subscription based service, however the downfall to this is they would be eating into your profits with their commission.

I am using Paypal for recurring payments and i am satisfied with it. You should give it a try.

I too have looked into this without success. Personally I reviewed RecurHub and Recharge. Neither would integrate easily for me but you may have more luck.

I will probably go down the PayPal route that seems to suffice for many or perhaps the Stripe option.

I think it's quiet simple to set it up the way we did. We bought the woocommerce subscription plugin powered by yith, configured it and modified as we needed. Then plugged in PayPal to set up automatic recurring on our subscription packages. We are using wp woocommerce.

One more thing I would say set up fusion invoice which is quiet helpful as well in setting up recurring bills and auto bill your customer via PayPal. First time when client pays it sets the recurring automatically. Hope that helps.
