June 21, 200818 yr On my Windows machine at work I'm a big fan of Firezilla, but on the Mac I use Transmit or the built-in FTP in Coda. I've also heard good things about Flow on the Mac.
June 21, 200818 yr Well I would say your using it at the moment! if you use Dreamweaver, it has some good features on its FTP but if not stick with Filezilla - it rocks!
June 21, 200818 yr FileZilla all the way - there isn't any point paying for expensive FTP clients which do just about the same stuff. After all - FileZilla is open source - which makes it even better
June 21, 200818 yr I pretty much stick to Dreamweaver's built in ftp. when your done building just hit that little up arrow and thats it (after its set up of course). At work I use WSFTP, but there is nothing special about to make it stand out, just works like its supposed to work.
June 21, 200818 yr I use WS_FTP, it suits me as it has easy compatibiltity with lots of FTP accounts so I can access all my clients sites. And, I use WS_FTP Home 2006 free off a computer magazine CD, probably the only useful program i've ever got off them from these sort of CD's.
June 21, 200818 yr What's the best FTP program? I'm currently using Filezilla. I love Cerberus FTP........suggest to try it
June 23, 200818 yr Win - AceFTP free. The FTp stuff I do on a Win machine is more lots of large files (1500 x 5mb photos) and it's amazing. Mac - FireFTP or Coda. I have Filezilla but it's ugly
June 23, 200818 yr I guess with FTP software a lot of it depends on what you are most comfortable with. When i'm on the road I occasionally use an install of www.net2ftp.com thats on my server.
July 4, 200818 yr I use a little known FTP program called Blaze FTP as well as Dreamweaver's built in FTP functions. I like it because of it's simplicity!
July 5, 200818 yr http://www.canadiancontent.net/tech/downlo...P-Programs.html i have looked at some more programs on here but i still think smart ftp is better then the rest
July 6, 200818 yr I've used cuteFTP, smartFTP and Filezilla in that order - but I recently downloaded the FireFTP extension for FireFox - it's just as good as Filezilla (in my opinion) and means you need one less application open!
September 8, 200817 yr I think I've missed the point of ftp software. I don't see the need for it as your OS can handle it. In my eyes yet another needless piece of software. Anyone care to enlighten me?
September 14, 200817 yr I use Windows Network Places, haha, not sure if that's bad :S Also use LeechFTP occasionally (classic but does the job)
