  2. The website looks pretty solid with the colors and white space, though I do see its the Venture wordpress template. As for the logo perhaps work on the rubrics cube making the edges more boxy rather than the rounded edge feel.

  4. Have you run your site through http://validator.w3.org/ ? That often fixes a large majority of compatibility issues once its validated.
  5. Hmm yea there is no padding that seems to be messing with it. Anyone else take a look at it and see anything that could be causing this?
  6. Thats a shorthand version of saying padding-top:0; padding-right:25px; padding-bottom:0; padding-left:25px, which is a standard way of writing it. But it is possible it is throwing off the browser on the phone or something to do with padding. I'll take a look at that tonight.

  8. I never really had much luck with live trace. It could be a good starting point for you though and finish the rest with the pen tool. I usually just trace things like that... sure it takes more time but usually ends up looking better than the origional in the end when you do it that way.
  9. Link it to this and you will always have the latest version of JQuery. http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js
  10. I just realized my site seems to have a strange padding on the right side when I view it from my phone. I can't reporduce it it any browers on the computer, just the phone. Any ideas? The address is my "portfolio" link in my sig below. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S III if that helps, though I think it happens on all phones. Attached a screen shot of what I'm talking about.
  11. Does anyone know of any script or anything for sale that can do a "buy your product" type of quote based on its condition? Similar to the below link. icracked.com/sell-my-device
  12. We've all been there. I like bestwebgallery.com but sometimes I find it easier to browse themes on themeforest.net because of the categories they have makes it easier to find the inspiration I'm looking for. Or sometimes its best to just take a break, go outside take a walk around for a bit and come back to it feeling a bit refreshed.

    You could change the CSS for header to "height:auto;" and modify the ul#nav margin to however far you want to get it down header { background: url(../images/header_bg.png) repeat-x scroll left top transparent; height: auto; position: relative; width: 100%; } ul#nav { height: 42px; margin: 25px auto 0; overflow: hidden; width: 980px; } Edit: Or if you were set in having the header that exact height you could always do this ul#nav { height: 42px; margin: 15px auto 0; overflow: hidden; width: 980px; position:absolute; bottom:2px; }
  17. Mine isn't downloadable. That hcard is interesting, I've never worked with it before. I don't really have any suggestions on making one that is downloadable aside from adding a link to a pdf created seperatly to match the site.

  19. I'd say make a quick html version of it. I just downloaded a template for mine that I thought was pretty decent. Your image idea won't get you in the search engines nearly as well. Take a look at mine tommcmanus.me. I didn't spend more than an hour putting it all together. nice, quick and easy for people to remember.
  20. I'd say it may have swayed a bit more towards the men side of it in this moc-up in my opinion. You could always use the approach bath and body works did and go a less stylized rout. They have both male and femail products (mostly female). Maybe something like that and when you select for men or for women then break out the two different versions of styles to match the gender. http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/
