  2. Thanks Wickham!! That seems to have worked for me too!! Much appreciated!
  3. Guys, I am using the border-radius.htc file to get rounded corners in IE. It works brilliantly...until... I use an element with the rounded div id on another element using a background colour. <html> <head> <style> h1 { font-size:24px;color:#428800; } h2 { color:#428800;font-weight:bold; background-color: #f0f0f0; width: 518px; height: 50px; margin: 0 auto 0 auto; padding: 0px; border: 1px solid #d7d7d7; -moz-border-radius: 11px; -webkit-border-radius: 11px; border-radius: 11px; behavior: url(/css/border-radius.htc); } #content { float:left;margin:0;padding:0 5px;width:960px;background:url(/images/template/main-background.jpg); } #main { float:left;margin:0 15px 0 10px;width:520px;background:transparent; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="content"> <div id="main"> <h1>Contact Us</h1> <h2>Advertising Opportunities</h2> <h2>Editorial Enquiries</h2> <h2>Order Enquiries</h2> </div> </div> </body> </html> If I remove the background image on #content then it works ok. If anyone can help me out with this, I would be really grateful!
  4. Hi! You can have as many external css sheets as you want - try it out!!
  5. I don't know about whether it's good practice or not - I do tend to though as not everyone realizes that the logo can be a link back to the homepage. I don't think it necessarily matters - do what is right for the website users!
  6. Personally I like osCommerce - there are a ton of templates, and as it's open source, you can change the code as much as you like! There are a lot of variations - osCommerce is the most basic form, while creLoaded and zenCart have a lot of useful contributions already added.
  7. I've used cuteFTP, smartFTP and Filezilla in that order - but I recently downloaded the FireFTP extension for FireFox - it's just as good as Filezilla (in my opinion) and means you need one less application open!
  8. I use Wordpress for my blog, but most of my CMS sites are custom built. I personally would use a ready built CMS if I could find time to play around with them a bit more!! I use osCommerce and other variations for ecom sites so it's the same principle really. However, I don't like it when people are not straight with clients. I have had web design companies offer me their complete redesign and development services all done on their own bespoke platform, which when you look at the favicons, reveals them to be Joomla! sites. Be straight and tell your customers. After all, if the platform already exists, their money will go on the extras that they want - more value for money!

    Try echo '<p>' . $data['message'] . '<br /><span class="after-text">By ' . $data['username'] . '<br />'. date('F jS Y • H.i A', $data['timestamp']) .'</span></p><br />'; I have added a line break as well - just remove it if you don't want it!
  10. Hi everyone! I am a PHP/mysql developer using CSS for my designs. I've been active on a few forums before, and thought this looked like a well supported site where I can both learn and give out my pearls of wisdom! I look forward to chatting to you all soon!
