Magento SSL Update - Help?!

Hi there,

I'm updating a Magento site with a new SSL certificate as it is now invalid.

I've purchased a new one from godaddy ssl store and have downloaded the
certificate files (.CRT files) but now I'm kind of lost...


I presume that I need to rewrite the current SSL file through FTP, which is
fine - but I cant find it in the directory. I'll also need to restart the apache server but since speaking to my
server host, rebooting the whole server should achieve this - so that's all okay.

But I need to know:

• Are my current instructions correct / unlikely to cause any problems?
• Where is the SSL currently located in the Magento ftp directory?
• And if there is anything else I should be aware of when updating an SSL?

I have been reading up about SSL in regards to Magento for a long time now(a full day) but I seem to
have a few puzzle pieces missing.
