July 16, 20206 yr Hello! I'm looking to create a dynamic results page that will display different results depending on that the user inputs. An easy example i can think of to give you an idea, you could have a car insurance sight that asks generic stuff, name email etc. But then it would ask how long you've been driving, if you put 1 year, you'd get different prices in comparison to saying you'd been driving 5 years. I'm not creating a car insurance page but am creating a comparison style web page. Depending on values users input into the site i need to display different results, i'm fine putting in preset values but will certainly need some maths to be done in between to show how much a customer could save etc. Are there any plugins out there that help? Or is it an API or web app i don't really know what exactly i need to use. Any help is massively appreciated! Thanks.
July 16, 20206 yr This is something I built for a client: https://demo.loanpaymentplugin.com/ Each slide is built using the data from the previous slide Or you could use sliders and filters like this: https://bankcomparisonplugin.com/ There are loads of ways to do something like this.
July 16, 20206 yr Author Thanks for the info! The bank one is definitely more towards what i need. What i wanted to do was have a contact form, which would have name, email, business name and then energy consumption, depending on someones consumption the quotation price would change, could this bank loan plugin be tailored towards those needs?
July 16, 20206 yr Anything is possible. Could easily hang a form on the front of that. I'm assuming you want to collect their details before they see the table of results and then an update once they choose a provider. Or you show them the table and they then apply to get the deal. Click on the apply now button to see an example.
July 16, 20206 yr Author Yes so the customer would be taken through a series of questions, and depending on a few variables would change the outcome. I'll attach some images of what i'm sort of going for. I think this website is using some sort of API to pull data and i'm not sure if that is too advanced, however i'm looking to use maths to display savings based on the monthly spend as i know the general market prices. I'm not sure if that makes much sense but hopefully it gives you an idea of what i'm going for.
