If you shop around , you can get hosting for around £3.50 a month. It wont be the fastest hosting around (unless you find a gem of a hosting company - in which case share here!), but for the cost of a pint of beer a month, it should be fine for you.

you can try a free host like awardspace initially. They have most of the required features to run a website for free or you can try Godaddy they are running a promotion now.

If you are looking for cheap hosting company then you have to use the online option. You have to do google search for finding a cheap web hosting provider. There are so many web hosting sites available online so you can easily find cheap web hosting company.

Wouldn't recommend them though. I gave a client a list of possible hosts and they decided on these guys instead. Numerous issues with them not too different to Go Daddy. My beef with them is that they don't support GZIP compression (well, at the time of doing the site, it wasn't supported). I'll have to do my usual recommendation of Tsohost. They're not cheap, but considering the level of service and the actual product, you certainly get more than your moneys worth.

You can go for google site or blogspot or wordpress. Where you will only have to pay for domain name. You can also search for free web hosting. Many companies are providing free web hosting. If you are ready to pay $4-5 per month you can find many hosting services.
