May 9, 200818 yr Ok, I'm not sure if this topic has been covered before as I'm still quite new on this forum, but what are everyone's 3 all time favourite films? I'll start the ball rolling: The original version of Get Carter is awesome. Michael Caine is a true icon. Quadrophenia is a brilliant film too. What a great cast it has also. My last favourite is Fever Pitch. A film about football!
May 9, 200818 yr 1. Clueless - An amazing film that will always cheer me up, full of cheesy goodness, laughs and heart warming. The rest are in no real order as they are all great, but Clueless is the film I have to put at 1 Near Dark - A great vampire film Howl's Moving Castle - If you haven't seen this you should...and then you should watch all the other Studio Ghibli films Top Hat - Fred Astaire and ginger Rogers fun fun fun Rio Bravo - Well it has the song My Rifle Pony and Me in it, plus its quit a good western too Young Gun - About Billy the Kid Ok that's more than 3, but I couldn't just pick 3, so I didn't
May 9, 200818 yr 1- Shawshank Redemption - really love this film 2- The Green Mile 3- The Business (can't top this for Brit Gangster style amusement!) Just outside the top 3: Dog Day Afternoon Jaws (original one - not sequels) Matrix Calamity Jane 28 Days Later
May 9, 200818 yr Top 3: 1. V for Vendetta (oh, sooo many levels! The comic is awesome too) 2. Barfuss (German film with fit German actor Til Schweiger who is also in Driven, European gigolo, will be in Far Cry) 3. Good Will Hunting Just outside: StarDust (this is currently competing for a top spot - must watch again!) Blade Runner 5th Element Matrix Every Disney Pixar Film ever made. (Toy Story is the best though) A scanner darkly is both weird and awesome Dizi, Clueless is fab! I have the boxset with mean girls! Have to wait for my OH to disappear before I can put them on though
May 9, 200818 yr Author You're both cheating! Ok, just outside my top three would be Notting Hill, Dead Man's Shoes and ID. Notting Hill just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, great feel good film! Notbanksy - The Business - is that with Danny Dyer? Another good film! He always seems to be typecast as a thug/football hooligan character. Does anyone know if he has played any other characters!?!
May 9, 200818 yr 1. Band of Brothers ( i know it's not an actual movie but i just think it's the best war movie ever made ) 2. Gladiator (General who became a slave, Slave who defied an emperor - do i need to say more? ) 3. Boondock Saints (Just a lot of fun to watch) The Matrix is a close 4th, love the philosophy of it. Greetz R-J
May 9, 200818 yr This changes about every minute of every day and depends on what mood I'm in and if any of my rugby mates are listening (if they are it's all films with boobs, cars and fighting!!!!) 1. Amelie - just brilliant. 2. Shaun of the Dead - for giggles and gore. 3. Crouching Dragon Hidden Tiger - childhood dream to go to China (going in the New Year - yeah for me!). No... hang-on, it's changed again...
May 9, 200818 yr Notbanksy - The Business - is that with Danny Dyer? Another good film! He always seems to be typecast as a thug/football hooligan character. Does anyone know if he has played any other characters!?! Yes - check out Straightheads - he plays a real wimp in that film. Not one of my favourites - I prefer it when he's calling everyone a c*nt

August 28, 200818 yr That is brilliant!!! Thank you so much for passing this gem to me. Me and notmrsbanksy were nearly wetting ourselves.Triple nawty! The walk is genius glad you liked it...it's a complete gem...i woke lady headcoat up first time i watched by hammering on the table as i literally screamed with laughter. it's so well done as well - watch one of the danny *dires* then search on you tube for the *weel danny dyers football factories* clips and you realise he's spoofed it to a T - the editing, the voice, the walk, the settings... there's many other clips up there from the series and i think the virgin media site has the full quota too. for me as good as ali 'aiiiii' g.
August 28, 200818 yr Very difficult to choose a top 3! I would normally have had Shawshank Redemption in there but as a few others have put that, I thought of some others. In no particular order: ET - Made me cry when I was 7 years old and makes me cry now. Even hearing the music can set me off! The part where they are both in the coma and ET is 'dead' Named my first son Elliot . Leon - Just a great film with superb acting all round. Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, nuff said. The Flying Deuces - Any Laurel and Hardy film to be honest but I picked this one as I like Stan's little dance half way through the film
August 28, 200818 yr This is hard, but here goes nothing. 1. No Country For Old Men 2. Reservoir Dogs 3. Tommy Boy
August 29, 200818 yr Very difficult to choose a top 3!I would normally have had Shawshank Redemption in there but as a few others have put that, I thought of some others. August 29, 200818 yr A Beautiful Mind I've seen that one. Beautiful movie. Russell Crowe is a great actor! Heyy... You're not watching his movies just because your name is Russell are you?? (Just Kidding!)
September 1, 200818 yr I agree with Rachael on Man on Fire - that film is something else! But mine would be: 1. Miami Vice 2. 28 Days Later 3. Man on Fire
September 1, 200818 yr ooh so many.... 1. Meet the fockers 2. Something about Mary 3. Every film ever made by pixar (except nemo, I found it quite disappointing)
September 1, 200818 yr The Godfather The Conversation The Hustler It's really impossible to have a top 3 as there are so many great films that are equally good. Rear window, Three Colours Red, Frenzy, L'Samurai, The Elephant man, Twelve Monkeys, Pi, High Planes Drifter, Cool Hand Luke, The Fisher King ... on and on and on - the list is soooo long and they could all be in the top three. My god! I've not even mentioned anything by Woody Allen, The Coen Brothers or Stanly Kubrik! This ain't fair!!
