June 4, 201115 yr Hi, I have a client who has been used to Wordpress in paying no hosting. So basically, she wants to pay as little as possible, and I promised her I would try and find the cheapest hosting account I possibly could. Even though the hosts I usually use (Peartree Digital Media) aren't expensive anyway... Does anyone know where I could find the cheapest, cheapest possible hosting account for a site that will not be viewed much (she is a photographer and wants it to show potential employers). Cheers. June 4, 201115 yr Hiya Rich It almost sounds contradictory, you want the lowest of the lowest, but she wants it to show employers... So, its important to her, but not important enough to put it anywhere that is going to cost money... It depends what important to her in order of priority, and if she would put cost before service... Like wanting the most tyres on your car, at the lowest of low prices... You will find the tyres, but they may let you down when you really need it most... If your happy with peartree, then why not use them? Isnt it funny how people prioritise their websites over a few pounds for things that are or can be critical and cost them hundreds/thousands if it doesnt work? lol...

June 4, 201115 yr Author Hiya mate, thanks for the reply. Yeah trust me, if it was up to me I'd be using Peartree, as the service is really good actually. But the client, she's an Italian photographer, and very stubborn. So, she doesn't want to pay £30 a year for her hosting as all she paid for before was her domain...I've explained to her that now she will have to pay for hosting as well. But it'll just be easier to try and find a company that does variable hosting prices, depending on the bandwidth/web space. This is what she wants and I like to try at least to give people what they want... ...So, if anyone knows of any companies that can do a years hosting package for less than £30 a year give me a shout, the cheaper the better!! If the website is build in asp or asp.net, it will need to be hosted on a Windows server with IIS. However, your website seems to be hosted on a Linux server. Not sure if its apache server as Webserverx is hiding the information about the webserver in place.. But which ever web server it is, it does not support asp or asp.net.
