Clean, but bland.

Maybe some colour and a header graphic?

I like it, but I don't see how the download button fits in.

 

If you want your site to look super clean you need to stress over every last detail I am still fiddling on with mine and it was launched nearly a month a go now. Its the small things that really set off clean sites I think.

Minimalist style web site are a matter of taste, personally I like them. Your layout is clear and easy on the eye. Maybe dumbing down the black boarders and colours of the download buttons to the grey of the logo would tie it all in to a 'style'.

 

The content is great and the forum well organised. I just wonder if the site needs some sort of introduction and textual content. There is very little for search engines to interpret and the site seems a little soulless.

 

Some good resources though I'll be visiting often.

Definitely needs some personality, funky shapes and colours all round!

i would sugest a verry plain grey gradient be added it's quite refreshing to see such a clean site, however there is a small feeling of incompleteness with that.

 

ps a run in my validator returned a whole list of improovments that can be made...

This is Good Morning here in India. Well, I saw your website. First of all I would like to suggest u to change your home page bcos it is not so attractive. Website needs Simple But Creative ! No Colors are there ! Even your Header is also not colorful ! what is this ? Looking like sadness all over. This is not to much comment but what I saw I Frankly told u. hmmm i think u can go for some more colors to make it look a bit more attractive n add feel to it

I'm glad you think the content is good. I am trying to add to it every day if possible. As for a description, I am currently editing the flash banner at the top to explain what the website is about. One other suggestion from friends was to make the pictures clickable and show a small preview of the what the flash file does

Everyday? Wow that's dedication!

Well perhaps every day is a slight overstatement, but I will defiantly be editing the website at least every 3 days. I am still wondering where the best place to put a description about the website is.

I would change the 'Browser Title' to 'samples'.. 'smaples' are so over rated.

I like it a lot, and I'd say it's an excellent example of getting straight to the point with no faffing around. Of course you could add more colour and extra graphics but ask youself if you actually need to - will it enhance the visitors experience or will it add no real value at all?

 

Is the site finished? I always say that no site ever gets 100% finished because there's always something you could tweak or change. What I would say is this...

 

1. You need something to say "hey this is a site where you can download things for Flash". At first glance it's not obvious what the site is about

2. What sort of flash things are they? Can I see one in action? I suggest that you add a page for each sample. On those pages you can show a live example and extended information.

Think the site is quite good, clean and simple but maybe you could add some graphics somewhere.

I think clean is best left without any graphics

I do think you need some decent branding though. Maybe you also need to be able to preview the flash stuff before downloading it.

 

The download buttons seem to be greyed out like they will not work although they do.

I like it. Its simple and easy to read. Only thing i would surgest is maybe a bit of colour, bright colours, but not to much, maybe make them fade or glow with the current header.

 

Other than that its well layed out and designed.

I'd say it was essential, I never download anything like that unless I can test it out first......otherwise it's far too much work downloading it just to see if I like it

 

I think the site performs it's function well but I'd agree that to make it stand out you need some more personality in there. As your site is identified only by the header thats the place to concentrate. Experiment with some colour and try making your logo a little more unique.

 

You could also speed up the flash intro at the top, it's a little laborious waiting for it to tell me why I'm there.

 

Anyway looks like a useful site, if you put the demos up I'd definitely take a look

it's really nice, if you add anymore colour take it easy and be careful not to ruin things...there's a few sites around that could do with less colour imho...ok far less colour!

 

as it is it looks professional and grown up.

 

you could try playing with making the "xuroq flash" banner larger and perhaps using having xurog in a more blue than gray shade of blue...that ought to help 'brand' it and give that little touch of life it may need.
