Just some quick input: The only device in my house that can still accept a CD/DVD is the PlayStation. None of the laptops around have an optical drive anymore and I don't own a stereo either. I'm saying this because I am not the exception. There are plenty of other people like me and the number is probably growing. So, this is not the best technology to bank on. Aside from that, your site could use some improvement. The logo and shopping cart icon are barely visible on top of the photo background, the fonts don't match very well, and overall it's a bit bland. In addition, you should probably have a native speaker look over your English copy. Plus, your main CTA is not doing anything. Also, why is the Contact Us page purple? Finally, your About Us page is a mess.

I rely mostly on SEO for content marketing. Aside from that, I publish on Twitter and Facebook. Here, Facebook is the one that brings in more traffic. However, I don't only publish my own content, I also curate interesting content from other websites and share it. Has worked well so far.

Agreed. Make sure to cover the bases on your own website first. While social media does have impact on SEO (though very indirectly) it's very much on the outside of your marketing machine. Build a solid foundation first before worrying about it too much.

But does that mean you haven't mastered English, because you don't know all the words? I don't think so. Even in my native language (which is not English), I still encounter words that I don't know. Even so, I don't think anyone would say I haven't mastered it. Therefore, as I have stated above, I think it really depends on the definition of "mastery".

Define "master". There's plenty of developers really good at different programming languages. At what point would you consider someone to have mastered it?

It sounds like you should work on your attitude. If you are approaching anything this way, you are shooting yourself in foot while trying to get ahead. Not the best idea. I recently saw this t-shirt. It encapsulates a lot of what goes into development. Most developers are just better at finding solutions to things that they themselves don't know how to do. Ask any programmer and they will tell you that they google for stuff all the time. So, it's not necessarily about your skill set, it's about your willingness to learn and find solutions.

OP, you want to strike out on your own and that's awesome! You are also looking for support, which is even better. However, I think a lot of people here will tell you that you are going about it the wrong way. "Being famous" is not really a tangible goal and it also comes with a lot of downsides, as others have already pointed out. I think it would be a good idea if you asked yourself what exactly it is that attracts you to this lifestyle. Is it the freedom? The money? The attention? Having an impact on others? Or something else? Because, for example, if it's freedom, there are other ways to achieve that than becoming a celebrity (which, as already discussed, can also seriously diminish your freedom). Being more clear about your motivation can help you work towards what you are really after. Also, find role models. Look for people who live life the way you want to and study them. What did they do to get there? How did they approach their lives and careers? What can you learn from them and apply to yours? In addition to that, it seems like you are trying out a lot of different things. That's not a bad idea. It will help you figure out where your talents lie and what you are passionate about. My advice here would be to find a skill that you are interested in and learn to get good at it. Don't worry about whether others think it's useful or not. Teaching yourself a new skill is a super important ability that applies to all areas of your life and that will always matter. Life is nothing but continuous learning and if you can get started with that now, you will be way ahead later on.

In addition to the above, having a site on a subdomain is unsuitable for any kind of professional purpose. It's the equivalent of having your business email address ending in gmail.com. Nobody will take you seriously.

I don't really dig the font combination on top of your hero image. Especially the buttons and the Web Design Wakefield part don't work well for me. On the following section, it's good. When you scroll down slowly, the website design and ecommerce sections slide up including the background color (the sections are white before that). The other two are blue from the get-go. Is that on purpose? Generally, I think the copy could do with a little less line-height. I would maybe go down to 1.4. Also, I would consider if you could replace the stock images with something custom made. Users basically block out stock images because they are so forgettable. The bullet point copy under Website Design doesn't seem to have equal thickness. Your copy could use some improvement in terms of structure and content. The CTAs on your subpages don't really stand out. Overall, your design isn't congruent across the entire site. I would work on that. Hope this helps!

Homepage - I don't like that many of the photos are not related to the web content/only there for decoration. I also expected the photos to be linked/clickable. Product pages - Image loading takes very long though that might also be due to my location, which is probably far away from your servers. I would also expect a page with all the products in once place that I can filter instead of several pages for different product types. About - The copy is a little bland and without substance. It's a lot of phrases that, when combined, say very little with a lot of words. In addition, I still don't know much about the company or the people behind it. Plus, what's with the link in the first word of the Our Values section? Hope this helps!
