  1. IMO there's lots of basic things that could significantly improve the site, for starters: 1. It's really slow to load on my setup at least. 2. It's weird that the domain name and company name are different, why is this? There's enquiries@sunfrancegolf.com and also enquiries@chardonluxurygolfbreaks.com, why??? 3. I've no idea what you'd like a visitor to do first after landing, has this been defined? 4. The carousel dominates the homepage but testing has shown that they're very bad for numerous metrics, including bounce rate, page load speed, seo etc. etc. 5. I'd like to see some basic information below the header about the service provided instead, ideally bullet-pointed. 6. It doesn't look like much if any seo has been done, was a list of target keywords decided on?
  2. I think that definitely makes it clearer what the site is about. Some further suggestions/comments: 1. I think page load is too slow, the vid seems to be the issue. I also think it's very bad that it auto-plays! 2. What about a tagline near the logo, something like "the social dating network". 3. Grammar error in "Send invitation to person you like", what about "Browse and invite members you like" instead? An important issue: have you thought about marketing and seo?
  3. 1. Call to action button too small, I'd also change text to "Take selfie & start dating!" 2. I'd move video to "About us" page 3. Occasional grammar errors (e.g. "Being a member" -> "By becoming a member" etc.) 4. Copy is a bit ott at times ("fantastic", "thrilling" etc.)
  4. Completely agree about Google and I'd even say they went too far as there's no tagline to explain what exactly they're searching, but it's big G so they can get away with it! Lots of big clients haven't the same philosophy though, for example check out Chevrolet (http://www.chevrolet.com/) which I came across recently. I'd really like anyone to explain to me how they came up with that mess if conversion was a priority for the design!
  5. Sure! I think the main issue is there's no headline, subhead or supporting points. Try something like this roughly where the video is now: Headline: Fed up of endless messaging on dating sites? Subhead: Schedule a date and meet in person instead! 1. Sign up in seconds (it's free!) 2. Schedule a date 3. Invite whoever you like 4. Date and communicate face-to-face with the first accepter! Just my 2c without much thought, I'd suggest some a/b testing though to find the most effective version. I think there's other more minor issues too, but I'd suggest fixing this first or I doubt there'll be that many visitors to notice them!
  6. Sure! rbrtsmith said that "Clients don't care for flashy websites. Conversion is almost all they care about.", which I find very difficult to reconcile with the number of flashy websites out there! Clients ultimately decide how their sites look, and if conversion actually was all they cared about, they wouldn't have paid for a flashy website with a big carousel to bounce visitors away! Maybe they just don't appreciate that flashy websites tend to be conversion killers??
  7. Seems like a nice idea, obviously a tough niche but endless messaging seems a common issue on mainstream sites so this might have a chance! However I think your bounce rate will be through the roof at the moment, basically because a typical first-time visitor will give you about 7 seconds to convince them that your site is for them, and I know it took me longer than that to figure out exactly what I'd be signing up for. If you're sceptical, I suggest asking someone who hasn't seen it before to scan it for 7s and then explain how it works!
  8. Normally I completely agree with your posts but I have an issue here! Just look at the number of sites with big sliders/carousels as the most eye-catching element on the homepage, even though these have been shown to be terrible for conversion!! How to square this (and the previous flash craze) with clients only caring about conversion and not flashy sites?
  9. Don't really see the point of the links tbh, you'll need to add some useful content to get any traffic I think!
  10. It's very unlikely to happen to you but you definitely need to keep your records just in case, the consequences if you don't and are unlucky are pretty terrible!
  11. By dynamic do you mean multi-page or some sort of carousel??
  12. You say you're a novice so just make sure you backup everything before making edits, and make and test changes individually!
  13. If you only have a group of 6, wouldn't it be pretty rare that they would all want to chat at the same time? What about opening it up to a larger group and allowing people to open and join chat groups that can be sized on creation?
  14. Wordpress is the most commonly used option but is security an issue for you? Also have you thought about having separate adult and child sections on the site?
  15. Are you sure there's a demand for this? My guess is this has been tried and failed already, I'd suggest looking into this before putting lots of time and effort into it!
