  1. This works: using seperate queries and also you can't add in the ID elements after setting it as auto increment. Let me know if you need an more help! <?php require_once('Connections/MSQLConnect.php'); mysql_select_db('database') or die('Cannot select database'); $query = "CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `category` ( `CatID` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `Category` varchar(611) DEFAULT NULL, `TimeStamp` timestamp NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP, PRIMARY KEY (`CatID`), UNIQUE KEY `Cat_ID` (`CatID`), KEY `Category` (`Category`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=26;"; $query2 = "INSERT INTO `category` (`Category`, `TimeStamp`) VALUES ('Advertising', '2011-04-15 23:35:53'), ('Blogs', '2011-04-15 23:38:27'), ('Business', '2011-04-15 23:38:45'), ('Computers', '2011-04-15 23:38:55'), ('Education', '2011-04-15 23:39:11'), ('Entertainment', '2011-04-15 23:39:27'), ('Forums', '2011-04-15 23:39:35'), ('Games', '2011-04-15 23:39:45'), ('History', '2011-04-15 23:39:53'), ('Holidays', '2011-04-15 23:40:08'), ('Home & Garden', '2011-04-15 23:40:22'), ('Internet', '2011-04-15 23:40:31'), ('Outdoors', '2011-04-15 23:40:41'), ('Shopping', '2011-04-15 23:40:58'), ('Sports', '2011-04-15 23:41:06'), ('Technology', '2011-04-15 23:41:28'), ('UK', '2011-04-15 23:41:37'), ('Web Design', '2011-04-15 23:41:43'), ('Web Devalopment', '2011-04-15 23:42:00'), ('Web Hosting', '2011-04-15 23:42:09'), ('Web Master Resources', '2011-04-15 23:43:06'), ('Other', '2011-04-15 23:43:19');"; ?> <?php if (mysql_query($query) && mysql_query($query2)){ echo "Your Success"; } else { echo "Error"; } ?>
  2. surely just just provide a link to the high res image in the gallery..? What are you stuck with?
  3. Updated the URL in the general settings? Cleared your browsers cache?
  4. Yes that can be done. Just create a form that inserts data into the database, fairly easy if you know some mysql. For more info read up about it here
  5. One way of doing it: Have a table in the database which stores the paths to the documents uploaded (give them random names to make the more secure), and make a column in the document table (such as client_id) which gives each row an id that corresponds to the id of the user for that document. Then in the client area just show the documents where client_id = the id of the logged in user
  6. It will use a database to store all the work and then gets the work to display given by name called in the address bar (eg. http://www.qubik.com/category.php?cat=Branding) This can be done pretty easily with mysql and php. This website tells you everything you'll need to know how to do it!

Is this: My linkhttp://www.456bereastreet.com/archive/200503/setting_the_current_menu_state_with_css/ what you're looking for?

I offer hosting from as little as 99p per month! It would be perfect for you and your first website. Have a look at www.ToddHosting.com. I am currently offering a free domain with any plan except the basic plan. (Terms apply) PM me if you want to discuss further
  9. I would suggest trying this one: http://jqueryglobe.com/article/feature-list as I used it here: http://www.sulibdems.com/ and seem to remember it being fairly easy to customise. You will however need to know how to get the latest posts and images but a quick google search will find that for you
  10. Here is an idea of how to do it: CSS.. ul#nav li a {color:#666} #nav .home a:hover {color:#00f} #nav .about a:hover {color:#000} #nav .contact a:hover {color:#f00} HTML.. <ul id="nav"> <li class="home"><a href="index.php">Home</a></li> <li class="about"><a href="about.php">About</a></li> <li class="contact"><a href="contact.php">Contact</a></li> </ul> View a demo here
  11. What is the problem here? Looks fine to me in safari, chrome, ff and IE
  12. Thanks for the feedback! There is a brief section about backlinks but as the title says, its only simple things to help increase your website's SEO. To me all the methods you mentioned are far more time consuming than the quick tips the blog was about, but thanks for sharing all the same
  13. Use different proxy website to visit it with another IP. Go to your public library / school / work / friends houses Use other wifi networks such as pubs / cafes Lots of different way to do it
  14. Compare the given zipcode against a database of zipcodes?
  15. Surely you clicking on it through different IP addresses is kinda cheating?
  16. itodd replied to WBC's topic in General Chat
Almost, you're other preferences will only be taken into account if your 1st choice party has the lowest votes of that round and gets knocked out. And if you only put one choice then that counts as a single vote (like the current system) and if that party gets knocked out you will favour no other party as you have no alternative for your vote to go to
  17. itodd replied to WBC's topic in General Chat
I never said there wasn't. But that was a wartime coalition, it was for a different reason than today's coalition government.
  18. jQuery is a Javascript library. It uses javascript but is designed to make using javascript much easier to use. There are tons of tutorials about it here
  19. itodd replied to WBC's topic in General Chat
Haha yeah I noticed that, surprisingly conveniently placed..

There was no hung parliament, where did you get that from? FPTP works great for elections with only two parties but elections in this country aren't a 'two horse race' any more
  21. itodd replied to WBC's topic in General Chat
This happened in the 2010 election with FPTP.. hence the current coalition government. How does this show the current system is any better than AV?
  22. With all hosting accounts at www.toddhosting.com you get unlimited FTP accounts. Compare our hosting plans here. Also, get 30% off any hosting plan until Tuesday!
  23. itodd replied to WBC's topic in General Chat
With FPTP you would've lost in your hyperthetical scenario anyway. Plus you don't have to vote for any parties. You can put as many or as few preferences down as you like. Therefore if you only place one vote and your only party gets knocked out you don't favour any other party.
  24. I would also say the one on the right, but it doesn't instantly jump out at you. And the circles look like bubbles to me..
