  1. I think its better of being a perfect cube because everything looks balanced and it would distort the 'M' in the logo. I really need this to be perfect as it represents my company. Thanks for the comments.
  2. Thanks Alzer! Yeah it does simplifying... Hmmmmmm...
  3. Thanks, if I did that it would unbalance the rest of the logo. As its meant to be a cube like shape.
  4. Hi all, I finally came up with a new logo for my company. Please tell me what you think. Keeping in mind I havent added any effects or anything yet. And I will be using different text.
  5. Thanks for the comments all, inspires me to do more tutorials!
  6. Photoshop fo sho.
  7. I usually spend around a day or 2 making sure I got the design right.
  8. Wow, good stuff! Looks professional. I think you should align the contact us text in-line with the text on the contact us button on the front page. Its a little above the button on my monitor?
  9. Sketch Pad > Illustrator > Maybe Photoshop ( If you want to add any styles, backgrounds)
  10. Not fussed on the colours
  11. You could do a simple php-mysql script update the database with the latest orders?
  12. There is work out there and it depends on many factors if you can get the work. E.g how good you are, how well you market your self, good contacts etc.
  13. Just a tip. Use a CSS reset style sheet. Google "CSS reset" and you should find something.
  14. No, the only reason I was asking this is because some web design companies put a link to their site at the bottom of clients sites. I was thinking why don't they use h1 tags and resize them using CSS? Wouldn't it be better for SEO? I was just wondering.
  15. It would cost a lot more if they want to process card details online because they will then need to get a merchant account etc. Just eat is a good idea. Or you could go with a standard e-commerce package and use cash on collection. Or maybe even a simple email script that emails the shop when they got an order.
  16. I'm guessing the keywords your trying to get listed under has more competition than the other sites you have done?
  17. Hi all, I was just wondering if you used CSS to resize the h1 header tags so that they were small (12px), would google see this as bad seo and punish you for it like they do with hidden text? Thanks in advance!
  18. I love the services Envato provide and I would recommend them to any designers. I regularly use the tuts+ blogs and just wanted to let everyone know about the new webdesign tuts+ that they have opened. http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/
  19. Very nice and I can see much effort has gone into it. Well done.
  20. I would look for some of the word press plugins to save you some time on the customisation.
  21. Number 4! The colours in 3 don't do it for me.
  22. Ok thanks Will, let me know!
  23. Thanks for the replies. Does moving servers effect the age of your site on google?
  24. Hi everyone, I was just wondering, if you swapped hosts and registrars for the domain name and website would it effect the sites age on google? The reason being is that my websites hosted on servers in America, which I was unaware of at first and now I want to swap to UK servers because it can help towards SEO? Also does it make that much of a difference swapping to UK servers. Thanks in advance!
