Yes, Google will email you in certain cases. For example, a hacked site which has been removed from the index will get an email detailing the issue. This is sent to a bunch of common email addresses on the domain (contact@yourdomain, info@, admin@ etc etc). Register the site in GWT and you will notified of activity relating to your site - spammy links, outdated CMS needing an upgrade etc etc. May help diagnose future problems. Right now, you can enter site:yourdomain.com into Google to see if you are indexed. No results then you have a problem...

Simple - Just develop separate landing pages. This will help increase your quality score and ad rank. Just to chip in a few extra items I've found to also help: Register your site with Google WMT (this allows you to manage the links when they appear) Generate a sitemap, submit to WMT Main navigation elements on site ideally HTML (using UL, LI) Thorough Internal linking structure reaching the pages you want to appear Build backllinks to the the pages you want to appear (mix anchor text) Thats about it! You can use yahoo site explorer, backlink watch or the one over at SEOmoz. Backlinks aren't on the page - they are links to the website on other websites, linking back to jazzcafe.

It shows that information by default. Traffic Sources > Overview > Setup the time frame > Export > CSV/PDF

Just a quick note regarding the backlinks - Jazzcafe.co.uk has over 3,000 backlinks, and a PR of 5, partly helping it to be seen as an authority site, and a more likely candidate to receive the sitelinks over your other example.

I'm guessing a site which has been developed over 8 months is by no means a simple 4-5 page website - but quite a substantial one? Which begs the question - why are the designers doing SEO? I would strongly advise in investing in the services of a professional here, and no, I'm not just trying to plug my services! But feel free to use my 101 tips in my signature. I had a quick look at the page, and it just looks like a bare bones blog? Also, your keyword stuffing stood out like a sore thumb to me - and I don't know any Swedish! Write for Humans, not Google. SEO aside, is it really geared to your target audience? For example, I found these with your search terms in Google: http://www.rackspacecloud.com/ http://www.gogrid.com/ They look quite different. Back to your site - You need much more content, cover the basics first - about, company history, disclaimer, privacy policy, terms, contact, client testimonials... plus I don't see any product/services page? For me, that falls under SEO. You need content first. Once you do have that content - then register the site with the webmaster areas on the search engines, submit a sitemap, ping the site, and start blogging. Make sure you have good internal linking on the pages on your site too. For example, every time you mention 'cloud services' on one of your blog posts, link to your (homepage?) main cloud services page. After 4weeks start sourcing links and issuing link exchange requests, but do so in a controlled manner. Also start article writing to get some targeted traffic, and distribute these to Ezine, Go Articles and Articlebase - all nofollow, but they generate targeted traffic. That's the basics, there are more techniques you can look at in week 6 onwards in my sig below. Hope that helps

I almost didn't bite - but I couldn't resit posting a reply, its like 2001 all over again! To echo Rallport and Charlie's annoyances; this service is junk and the post is complete spam. But I think we should entertain it non the less. First up, I don't understand why you would choose to post it here? The guys on this forum already know about SEO, and they are not that naive. No one here will sign up to your service. Yes - I do submit my sites to Yahoo and Bing due to my own test results. I have never submitted to Google. Nor have I ever submitted any sites to the other search engines, waste of time - they'll find it once its in the big three. Its unclear if you register the sites in the webmaster areas and submit sitemaps. But more to the point, these are the types of 'SEO practices' I (and many others) have been trying to expose as being a complete waste of time and money, and are often fronted by shoddy self claimed SEO experts. I'm not pointing the finger at you Andy501, as you seem to have only 'got an email from these guys'...its just generally a pretty big 'SEO Cowboy' flag, the old Search Engine Submission service. From the outside it seems you are just confusing your clients, and telling them what you think they want to hear. Yes, its good practice to submit your site, but its not that important. The search engines are getting pretty smart and will pick up the site naturally. That said, Backlinks will get it noticed much faster for example. I would be educating my clients and suggest investing the £30 into article writing and submission, setting up a blog etc... much better ROI. And at your rates, I dread to think what you would charge to rewrite the code on a website to make it SEO friendly! I guess for all the 'good guys' doing SEO, they can take comfort in the fact this forum thread review of www.simplesubmission.co.uk will soon be gathering a bit of momentum in the SERPS, and offer curious 'potential clients' another side to the simplesubmission.co.uk service, backfiring some what on the original post intentions.

Submit the site to Digg and Stumble, and any other good social bookmarking sites you use. Then, setup an ezine article account, and submit a short 250 word article about a topic of your choice, and include a link to the site in your 'resource box' at the end of the article. Next, grab a RSS submission tool and submit the site there. Then go over to pingomatic and ping your site and the ezine article. That should sort it in a few days, give me a shout if you need any help.

Design aside, from an SEO point of view it will also need a lot of work to perform well. I would consider getting a more keyword friendly (and human) domain name, hosting the shop on the same domain and work through some basic SEO before you launch. Remember keyword research is vital! Also, change the 'zenshop' default install directory, and fix some vital security flaws to avoid your site being compromised. I'll PM you about those separately.

Have you done much keyword research on this? Start with the standard stuff - unique title tags, meta descriptions, remove text images and put in heading tags. Develop the internal linking, with correct anchor text and start adding more content to a blog. Then start on my 101 list..
