  1. Facebook API Help - Urgent

Jay, that will do nicely Cheers mate - hope you are well and Tom isn't driving you too hard on his site
  2. Facebook API Help - Urgent

Hi all Ok, so I am building a recruitment site where users can email a job to a friend. I have it set up so they can email the job, post it to their facebook and their twitter too - but what the client wants is the ability to send it via Facebook INBOX to a friend I have searched and searched via the API and Developer Toolbox - as well as Stack Overflow and it seems this isn't possible - but others say it is... I am a little confused. Is anyone here a Facebook API guru? Can I do what I want to do? Or is it not possible? I need help here and really quickly! Thanks
  3. Checkox values into URL string

Hi Jay, thanks for that mate - I think more the issue is that it is spitting out multiple 'checky' in the string - I need it to display like: www.mysite.com/checkbox=value1,value2&othervariable=this Change the comma for whatever else it needs to be basically... does that make sense??
  4. Checkox values into URL string

Hi all, I have a site which I need to update via some checkboxes - so the idea being that when you select 2 checkboxes and hit submit, the url it navigates to is: www.mysite.com/checkbox=value1,value2&othervariable=this My html is like this: <input type="checkbox" name="checky[]" value="value1" /> <input type="checkbox" name="checky[]" value="value2" /> <input type="checkbox" name="checky[]" value="value3" /> <input type="checkbox" name="checky[]" value="value4" /> <input type="checkbox" name="checky[]" value="value5" /> But my URL does this: www.mysite.com/checkbox%5B%5D=value1&checkbox%5B%5D=value2 and so on... what I am doing wrong? Why won't the values just go into the same string/variable? Help!!
  5. Morning all - my brain is hurting this morning and I cannot get this function down... What I want is a function that spits out ALL the archives as a UL, with and LI for each year and then a sub UL with LI's for each month... So on calling the function you'd get: <ul> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2012/">2012</a> <ul> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2012/01/">January</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2012/02/">February</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2012/03/">March</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2012/04/">April</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2012/05/">May</a></li> </ul> </li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2011/">2011</a> <ul> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2011/01/">January</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2011/02/">February</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2011/03/">March</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2011/04/">April</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/2011/05/">May</a></li> </ul> </li> </ul> And so on... does anyone have/know a function that does this?
  6. An official 'WDF' meetup... who's up for it?

Right everyone - it seems that most people would turn up, if it was in a convenient location. And London seems to be the overwhelming choice in the poll. So, by a quick 'I'm In' - who'd be up for a WDF London Meet in October, around Liverpool Street type of area?
  7. I love that there are those cowboy companies out there that say "I'm a great designer and developer", when all they do is install WP/Joomla/Drupal and add a theme on with some minor mods. I love it!! Because the big budget guys, the clients I try to go for - they know the difference between someone who knows what they are doing, and someone who can simply install a theme. Bring it on - good clients know good designers and developers. The clients I work with usually don't jump into hiring a developer without researching their portfolio, their skills and a host of other things too - so if 'Bob's Plumbing' wants to hire some kid who his brother's wife's cousin's mate knows for £200 - then brilliant!
  8. An official 'WDF' meetup... who's up for it?

Well I voted London myself - but I would be happy to compromise on Birmingham if we get enough people who would do the same Sounds like we have a few people interested. Also - to prevent drop-outs, I was thinking of organising a 'ticket system'... so you buy your ticket for say £5 and then on arrival, you get a free pint - so as long as you turn up, your £5 isn't a ticket fee, it is just an expensive pint. That way, it'll stop 50 people saying: "I'll come!" and then not turning up. If we get enough people in and decide on a city, then I can look into booking an area at a pub or something - nothing poncey and definitely something with real ales!!!
  9. Ok, so I am thinking of organising a big WDF meet up some time over the next 3/4 months. By voting in the poll, tell me if you are interested in going to such a thing, and which location is best for you. We'll look into arranging something IF we have strong enough numbers interested and if a location can be decided on
  10. Fancybox iFrame scrollbars! Help!

Anyone else? Can anyone see the issue here? Ok, Found a solution: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10295746/fancybox-2-height-not-working
  11. Fancybox iFrame scrollbars! Help!

    Cheers mate - the function in Fancybox js is very different to the one listed on StackOverflow though... the only get viewport function I have is: getViewport: function () { // See http://bugs.jquery.com/ticket/6724 return { x: W.scrollLeft(), y: W.scrollTop(), w: isTouch && window.innerWidth ? window.innerWidth : W.width(), h: isTouch && window.innerHeight ? window.innerHeight : W.height() }; }, Any ideas Spitfire?
  12. Fancybox iFrame scrollbars! Help!

Hi all, on this site: http://www.the-mermaid.co.uk/__newsite/ If you click the enquire button (top nav in red) it brings up a fancybox iframe with a form inside - but on Firefox, there are scrollbars. In Chrome and Safari, there are no scrollbars! I need it to be shown properly with no scrolls - any ideas? Why is this happening? It is doing my head in!!!
  13. Precise! :-) I know sites can sometimes be a bit out-dated, but it shocks me that sites can be THIS outdated in the modern day, especially considering how huge a company fabric land actually is....
  14. http://fabricland.co.uk/ Epic! How old must this site be??
  15. CSS Only way of doing this...

Hey guys and gals - I need to create this effect: To a H2 tag on my site - just like http://www.mcfc.co.uk/ They do it using JS and an SWF file - but is there a way to get the background of the block only coming to 10px longer than the actual line of text with just css(3)??
