I guess that depends on what you are trying to say! The bit that really stands out for me is that it looks like it says 'medja'. After that, the F at the beginning looks a bit pound sign like. But the i/j would really bug me.

I used to drink probably about 10-15 coffees a day, and I like it to taste like coffee, so have a good old heaped-up-as-high-as-possible teaspoon of coffee in it! But I actually got fed up of the taste of it, so only tend to have one or two first thing. Then I'll have around 10 or so cups of tea during the day, usually Earl Grey at the moment or if I'm feeling healthy I drink rooibus.

It might also work to add a light border to the large banner images; light as in quite delicate, not necessarily 'white' light, if you get what I mean! Nothing heavy but just a little something to finish them off nicely. Otherwise, I think you need to do as already suggested - you can't keep trying things just on the offchance something might suddenly click with him.

Have you anything in your contract (or do you have a contract at all?) with them? Depending on the nature of the job, you may wish to give advance notice of increased charges if it seems appropriate. Otherwise, if it's practical, say you are prepared to negotiate a new deadline if they need more time. Regardless of that (though consider including clauses covering this in a contract for future clients), you need to make it clear that you cannot be held responsible for not meeting deadline if they have not supplied any required content. I would both email with read receipt on and send a recorded delivery letter for good measure - a returned receipt and a signed for letter means you know it's been received, should it come to it.

You don't pay a wage as such. As Damian said, just record it as Drawings taken from the business to remove from the business funds. If you run separate business and personal bank accounts then do a transfer from bank to bank to physically move it. If you are still using only your personal account then you could do a cash withdrawal and keep the slip as a record if you wish but consider setting up a separate business account as it makes it far easier to track things. Plus, if you start receiving large sums of money on a regular basis the bank will likely become wise to it and may ask you to open one anyway.

Echo what's said above - there is a lot of useful info in that link. Also, have a look at the bulk email services instead of trying to do it through the usual email client. If it's only a small list of recipients for occasional email, MailChimp is free for under 500 subscribers/3000 emails a month. It will save you some time and effort, particularly in relation to managing the subscribers wanting to join/leave the mailing list (if appropriate). Plus your friend will be able to monitor responses of readers to a certain extent if he so wishes.

Not necessarily, it depends on whether your package allows this. Trick202 - if you plan to offer hosting as part of your service, you could consider getting a hosting reseller account which then allows you to be in in control of what the client gets and what they are charged and when. By doing this, you may (again, possibly dependant on the particular host you choose so check first) have a facility to set up the client account on the server and build the site to be visible under a preview URL (e.g. www.trick202.com/~clientname). Once everything is complete and you are ready to launch, you change the nameservers on the client domain for it to start working under their own domain. You do not need to worry about moving any files that way, which isn't such a big deal with static sites but if you've got databases and stuff it has the potential for unnecessary headaches.

Technically it doesn't matter so much which physical account is has come from, as long as there is a logical trail which affects final accounts in the correct manner. Are you a sole trader, and how have you recorded the transfer of £400 from the business to personal account - is it drawings or a business transaction (or not done yet)? And is that a business grant or for something else? As all of the money to pay for the software came on the one cheque from the personal account then I would cover that transaction as a whole as 'Capital introduced' or similar and record the £400 as drawings. The grant, if specifically for your business, I would record as a cash income paid to drawings (to account for it being paid into the personal account). If it was given as something separate from the business but only used to pay for the software as convenience, I'd not worry about recording it separately and just keep it lumped in with the total Capital introduced figure. NB. Not a trained bookeeper, so treat above with caution! You could also try one of the more business orientated forums if you can't/don't want to get a bookeeper immediately.

Pagelime is unlimited with the top level paid account. The middle one gives you (I think) 25 sites. Considering the obvious benefits and ease of use, if you have enough clients on it to warrant having the paid accounts, I don't think £20ish - $69 a month is too bad, particularly since paid accounts can be branded to your company and you may be working in such a way you can charge a monthly fee for hosting or similar from those clients.

Thanks for the reply, Sam. I'm not going to bother with setting up a Gmail address - he already has a couple of other business addresses that can be used but is abroad at the minute and I think wants to minimise account checking whilst also starting to use a new email address for personal use. So, forwarding of Orange to the new personal address would be the ideal. Never mind, I shall pass on the info.

One of my clients uses Orange as their ISP (the .fr version but I suspect that shouldn't make to much of a difference). He needs to forward his xxxxxxxx@orange.fr emails to another address for a while. Do you know where the function to set forward addresses is with Orange, or if it even exists? I've had a quick look around and can't see anything other than that it may not be possible. Thanks...
