  1. Instead of <?php bloginfo('template_directory');?>images/01.jpg for the image source try the full path i.e http://localhost:8888/wordpress/wp-content/themes/themename/images/01.jpg See if that is any better.
  2. I've been a Mac user for at least 5 years now and I'd never look at using a Windows box full time ever again. If you want to be in an environment where things just work and work how you want it too, and lets be honest an awesome looking interface then get a Mac. One of the things that first struck me was the care that went into companies making software for the Mac OS, the interface the usability, the way its presented to you, it all adds for me personally working in a pixel-perfect environment.
  3. With regards to the design, if its a simple 3 or 2 column layout similar to the default theme then you should be able to come up with something in a day, obviously if its more bespoke its going to take longer, just think how long your designs normally take, doing an e-commerce site design is really no different, I suggest you look at open carts demo to look at the common characteristics of a site i.e homepage, static page, product page and specific product usually. Development, when I started taking PSD designs and integrating them with x-cart it took me around 10 days I believe to integrate and test everything. Now it takes me around 4 days. With products I do add a few for testing purposes, if the client wants me to add all their product range I charge an additional fee. I've not come across a spelling mistake plugin, but you may be able to get one, usually search provides the nearest matches anyway. Hope this helps.
  4. I really like the Original although I do like the little tweaks that have been made in Strapline too!

  6. If all books are all on one page, you could use something like this: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/09/21/5-coding-techniques-for-more-dynamic-websites/ point 1, On-Page Text Search
  7. You could try using Google search - http://www.google.com/sitesearch/
  8. Try opencart - http://www.opencart.com/ It is very easy to install and get up and running. Tutorial wise, read the forums and documentation.
  9. To answer your post title, as many times as needed and necessary. Heading tags are for specifying the title of each page or specific content areas. H1 is generally used for the use of the logo and main headings, h2 sub-headings and so forth. So if you have 5 sub-headings which are equal in content relevance, then use 5 h2 tags, one for each heading. Heading tags follow hierarchical structure, based on content relevance. Hope that helps.
  10. Really nice looking site. What font did you use for the logo?
  11. To change points to anything, use list-style-type - http://www.w3schools.com/css/pr_list-style-type.asp
  12. It looks as though the author page doesn't have a template selected so it knows how to style that page. Or you don't have an author.php file, or if you do its structured differently to your other files. http://codex.wordpress.org/Author_Templates
  13. xcart with an audio player plugin - http://www.xcartmods.co.uk/x-cart-product-mp3-audio-player.html
  14. I like that you've gone from a b to a p with the vinyl and arm but I think the arm in the very first screenshot should be put back in as that looks realistic where as now it just seems flat and not that distinguishable especially with the detail of the vinyl itself. Would you not want the vinyl and arm separate from the wording as I think that would look nice too.
  15. Would you mind e-mailing me your questions Dale? Thanks Damian
