Vivaldi

Has anyone tried the new Vivaldi browser (https://vivaldi.com/ It uses the Blink (Chromium) engine; it's created by the folks who created Opera, and aimed at power-users (so I suspect many here).

I am using Vivaldi as my main video content display browser, such as youtube or netflix because the load speed is much increased rather than Chrome or Firefox. Also when the hardware is not top notch quality, it plays HD or 4K content much smoother than other browsers.

It's worth trying just to see how the top of the browser changes colour to match the site you're visiting. I also like the load bar.

I'm using it on my Mac - problems I've found

  • If you right-click, say to open link in a new tab, it doesn't always bring up the menu
  • If you open a Private Browsing window, the original window blacks out and you can't go between the 2 windows

Other than that it seems OK
