I have been designing a site for someones startup, and I would like to hear some feedback.

I do realise that it looks like a Twitter Bootstrap kind of website, but this was on purpose.

I appreciate all the feedback as long as it is constructive.

I like it, but the sections that have dark text on that green background hurt my eyes. It's pretty jarring.

I'll have to be honest: The green tint is just too distracting. You could with changing the hue or intensity of your green.

 

I am a bit curious tho: Why did you placed a border for the content instead of placing the usual elements straight out without the dividers? The way you could present each section could be greatly impoved with bigger images and typography instead of pasting them to "fit'. I'd say the same for the banner as that is you CTA and would need to stand out more compared to the rest.

 

Lastly, I'd recommend not using too much layer effect (like obvious dropshadows and strokes). I believe the styles would work better if they were used in a quite subtle manner.

I have to agree on the green colour, especially used against the grey or white. Presumably the green is a corporate colour so can't be tweaked.

So I'd consider white against the green and then use the grey against a white background.

 

Certainly a major improvement on the original though and meets the spec for that style of site well.

I agree with the green color. After letting it rest for a while and now looking back at it again this is certainly true. I also agree that the images are not ideal, but these were all I had so I had to use them.
