March 4, 201412 yr Interesting to share what else you feel passionate about. I was into photography for a while, but lost interest.
March 4, 201412 yr Talents... hmmm - debatable, interests - loads. Same here on photography - have an on off interest in it. Come from a filmmaking background, so all that associated with it, writing, drawing, mountain biking and martial arts are just some of my 'tings. Emphasis on interest rather than talent. Also, anyone who 'fairly' knows me will know my love of Japan, booze and music. Oh - and my blood type is....
March 4, 201412 yr Photography, and I haven't quite lost interest in it although it's taking a bit of a back seat while I try to get my head around all this website stuff. I'm a moderator at WDF's evil twin forum ILP: http://ilovephotography.com/forums/
March 4, 201412 yr Music mainly, i've played drums for 8 years. I also play snooker and 8-ball quite a lot. Not so much now, but I used to keep all sorts of fresh water fish. Basically, I have fairly relaxing hobbies, probably because my job is usually a complete pain in the A. EDIT: I guess these are more interests than talents, although I'm not bad at hitting things with sticks. Edited March 4, 201412 yr by Jack
March 4, 201412 yr My talents and passion sort of combine in to one thing: word games. I've always loved to play Scrabble/Boggle and all variants of each since I was an early teen, and the passion has never stopped. I don't suppose it's something that will get me anywhere in life, but it's something I enjoy doing, and probably always will
March 4, 201412 yr Juggling, DJ and Modified Cars ... here's my baby, I built the boot install myself
March 4, 201412 yr Lithography and etching, running, Russian literature. ...and of course long romantic walks by the seaside
March 4, 201412 yr I was into photography for a while, but lost interest. Such an inspirational start to such a topic, haha. Me, errr, online gaming and driving. Done.

March 4, 201412 yr I love to write and record music One of the rooms in my house acts as my recording studio I love recording studios and amass all sorts of gadgets and gear to aid in that When I studied it at college and uni (50% music 50% media), I really wanted to become a songwriter, then on a random day at uni, my media tutor showed me the Helvetica movie and from that moment my life changed and I wanted to do some form of design work - realised Im not that good at it, and found Ruby and Javascript
March 4, 201412 yr on a random day at uni, my media tutor showed me the Helvetica movie and from that moment my life changed and I wanted to do some form of design work Nice one mate will watch that tonight with a bit of luck
March 4, 201412 yr Economics and Motorsport, a nice combination...? I've got a race license and I've done instruction, until earlier this year I owned two race cars but sold them because I won't be racing any time soon - work is now my life!?
March 4, 201412 yr Nice one mate will watch that tonight with a bit of luck Great stuff, let me know what you think The movie is a very 'apple', close depth of field feel to it - Im a sucker for that kind of stuff. Plus it has Eric Spiekermann - my favourite type designer
March 4, 201412 yr Great stuff, let me know what you think The movie is a very 'apple', close depth of field feel to it - Im a sucker for that kind of stuff. Plus it has Eric Spiekermann - my favourite type designer Ive googled for web design related films in the past and the few it recommended was very loosely related to web design. Well the 20 odd minuets I saw before I turned it off was. This one sounds a lot better (on that life changing backing), plus Im crap at typography so its a win win Sure will
March 4, 201412 yr Powerlifting, hoping to compete later this year, i took two years away from the sport to travel so it's been a long slog to get back to where I was. I enjoy mountaineering and realised my dream of seeing Everest 2 years ago. One day i'd like to climb Ama Damblam, a famous Himilayan peak. Everest is just a little to ambitious I enjoy photography too but I only really bother when I see something breathtaking. My DSLR is collecting a bit of dust haha!
March 5, 201412 yr Ah, the famous Helvetica movie - I must admit I haven't seen it yet. IMO, its definitely worth it - especially if you have a penchant for typography
March 7, 201412 yr Left Brain: Playing Music Photography (seems to be a theme with others here Other Arts & Crafts inc. Pottery & Leadlighting. Right Brain: Programming Model Rocketry And general logical thought processes Honestly, If I could somehow make a living out of what my apparent 'artistic' side/s has to offer, I would be a happy man. But unfortunately, sadly, as time marches on with it's relentless, ongoing, and ongoing, seemingless endless array of cruel reality... Well, I find that sometimes I question my .... umm... hang on a bit... I just discovered something... what about story writing skills?... Left or Right brained? Steve btw. I'd love to see the Helvetiva Movie. Where can you get it on dvd? - I would love to force my kids to watch it, as some sort of negative reality inversion, pocket money scenario. March 11, 201412 yr I've thought about watching the Helvetica movie, but I don't know if I can hack an 80 minute film on a font. Especially when I have Bioshock Infinite already in the PS3.

March 11, 201412 yr btw. I'd love to see the Helvetiva Movie. Where can you get it on dvd? - I would love to force my kids to watch it, as some sort of negative reality inversion, pocket money scenario. I was told I'd be watching that one on my own. Although its not likely I'll ever get the the TV to myself and my attention span is too short to watch anything on the computer.
March 12, 201412 yr I have trained and competed professionally in Muay Thai for 5 years. Love the training, plus all the health and inner strength benefits. My main interest is business though, Started my own clothing company 2 years ago and loved every minute of it. Now though I'm completely focused on learning Web development, and making a career in that. I really appreciate how skilled designers and developers are!

Just watching highlights makes me wince. Same as Krav Maga.
March 12, 201412 yr Wow - Muay Thai - hardcore. Just watching highlights makes me wince. Same as Krav Maga. haha, Yeh it looks a bit nuts from the outside, but when you're training or just involved its not so bad. Just feels like any other sport.
March 12, 201412 yr I have the ability to get hungover like nobody else. It's a talent I don't want. One quick question, 'What exactly is a hangover?' Been totally paralytic flat on my back and can't move many times but still don't know what a hangover is. It looks unpleasant though. Photography was an interest before cameras went all digital; I like all things art, I paint, draw, embroider, and cross-stitch, among others; I am a passionate gardener, (But then as that's how I make my living I should be); I play darts, pool (English 9 ball for me), and snooker; I also enjoy hiking, camping, and sea-angling. Oh and just occasionally I find time to get p#ssed
March 13, 201412 yr One quick question, 'What exactly is a hangover?' Been totally paralytic flat on my back and can't move many times but still don't know what a hangover is. It looks unpleasant though. You'll get one eventually. There are two types, one of them is mainly a ruthless, splitting headache. The other is extreme sickness where you can't physically move, otherwise you'd better hope you make it to the toilet. I used to be the same, then I hit 20 and hangovers began, they have gradually got worse.

It looks unpleasant though. You are a lucky man not to know. If you think you might be missing out I suggest cheap red wine... It knows no age boundaries. You'll get one eventually. March 13, 201412 yr volleyball and street workout i love to move my body, build strength and excercise And in our job it's good to excercise a lot to stay healthy and happy
March 13, 201412 yr I thought hangovers go with the territory. Had them since about 20 ish too. Since then, any drink with the suffix '%' guarantees the old 'throwing a washing machine down an empty lift shaft' in my head. We should start a thread on hangover cures. I'm sure we all have a good selection
March 15, 201412 yr I'm 29 and don't really get hangovers unless I totally overdo it Give it one more year!
March 15, 201412 yr I'm 29 and don't really get hangovers unless I totally overdo it Over do it? Are we still talking about booze? How can you over do booze? Water, tea, coffee, fags, herbal, chips, healthy eating, keeping fit, or being lazy, they can be over done. Not Booze
