I don't know why it would do that, but here's a fresh link to mail.com in-case there was some typo in my original. (I did notice that mail is provided by 1&1 if that makes any difference)

I love the ways you can work around this haha! Anybody had much luck then? Nobody won a Kindle yet I presume..
