SEO strategy for new websites

Featured Replies

I am certainly no expert to SEO, but a few little tips i suppose i could give:

- Create Facebook Page, invite all your friends etc and keep posting regular content

- Same concept as Facebook but with Twitter

- Fill in the websites meta keywords and descriptions, although i dont think this does much anymore.

- Ensure your new website has unique fresh content posted on a regular basis, possibly integrate a blog or something similar as far as i am aware Google loves fresh and unique content on the web :)

Certainly not much to work with, but still, good luck :)

Hello friends,

SEO is a best technique which help us to increase our web page rank. you can use directory submission, forum posting , SBM etc for increase your web rank ans traffic.

When it comes to link building, avoid low quality links. They are not worth your time and they are likely to go against your SEO efforts. Aim for genuine, higher quality links. Consider genuine link opportunities with other people within your industry.

Keep the code of your website clean and tidy. Ensure headers are appropriately wrapped in header tags, and try and ensure every page has a clearly identifiable header and amount of body copy.

Ensure your content reads well. There is little use having a website ranked at the top of a search engine if the content is poor and puts people off. You'll just get a lot of wasted visits. Make your copy as SEO friendly as possible, without compromising on the readability.

I've written a few more SEO articles here http://sozodesign.co.uk/blog/seo/ which hopefully you find useful, and might give you a few more pointers in the right direction :)

All of the above!

In my experience, the most important thing is new fresh content. If your new blog post has original text (even if it's about an old topic) you will be ranked highly for the main keywords of that blog post. I find the title (h1 tag) of the new post will rank highly.

My advice is, if you have a new topic to talk about, research the related terms / keyphrases using Google Adwords. You'll find the hot topics there i.e. the phrases with the most search volume. Also check the local search volume results.

Then optimise your new post with that term. Your home page will not rank because of it but your post will, and this will hopefully result in click through to the rest of your website. That traffic will also help your ranking.

Also make sure you make use of Google Authorship. Apart from anything else, it makes it easy for you to see your pages in serps because your profile pic appears in the results!

Start with your own site. Make sure the page names, headings and content all match up on ech page. Then setup the FB and twitter accounts, bloging etc etc. But make sure your site is 90% right to start with :)

Keep the code of your website clean and tidy.

I just wanted to pick up on this, because it's incorrect.

Your site doesn't have to be semantically correct or W3C compliant or even load properly in a browser - so long as it loads fast and Google can read it, Google won't care about your coding skills.

We're trialled and tested this theory with sites riddled with over 200 W3C validation errors and it had ZERO impact on load speed and ZERO impact on SEO performance.

Be Awesome

That's the best advice anyone can give.
But basically it means that you need to have a great site, great content, be integrated with social media and do amazing and interesting things that your competitors don't.
Live and breathe what you're doing.

Building a bog standard website designed to rank in Google and then rot in cyberspace isn't going to cut it in the long term.
You can do so much better if you're active in communities online and keep promoting it with clever marketing.

Traditional marketing is still the essence of good business, not just good websites.

Search engine optimization plays a vital role in order to optimize new website. First you have to check whether your website is accessible through search engines. You can check the same with the help of Google webmaster tools. Second, you have to pay attention towards Keywords. Your content should have specific keywords that will help you in SEO purpose. Third, you will have to buid a proper link building strategy to get backlinks generated towards your website. For this, you can use Blog posting, Forum posting, Press release, Adwords etc. Social media can also be beneficial for promoting your website.

The best and foremost SEO technique for 2013 is social media marketing, guest posting and content writing. moreover link building directory submission and social bookmarking is also very important.

As a new site owner, you definitely need to focus on on-page factors first: fill up your pages with content, make sure there are no overlaps, add proper titles and tags to your code. Optimise your site to satisfy your target group of visitors.

After this, try to identify communities where you can promote your website. In a nutshell: think with the head of your target visitor group. Identify what sites they perhaps like, what forums they might be participating, what blogs or newspapers they might be reading. Then try to be there, get links and write articles for other websites, so that you can catch there attention.

Obviously it is easier to be said than done, but it takes time. The most important thing is: plan. Figure out who this site is for, what can you provide these people. Depending your niche, your site will be up in the first pages within weeks if you do the planning and outreach right.

If we have Improve ranking in Google, Yahoo & Bing etc. then we have follow SEO Tecniques. For example High Pr directory submission, Do follow social bookmarking sites, Artical, Blogs, Press Release submission. Try to improve your back links of your sites.

From Basics

Start by going through your own website .Set up your google analytic account which will give you stats about your website identify the areas after this you have to work on the area which is lagging like bounce rate, total page views etc depending on the stats.

Figure out some tweaks in meta tag , title tags, heading , your page content try using different keywords alt tags etc in short try on page optimizing first then move onto off page.

In Off page optimization you will require to spread awareness and give information better than your competitor that's how you can move above them in rank , Join some social networking sites like Facebook twitter , StumbleUpon , Delicious.Your unique contents , articles should be interesting enough that people should refer it and love it .Just remember one thing here in SEO quality is one thing and quality is everything you need only one best article to become a popular publisher.

Everything works fine depends on how well you audit your website and your observation on the auditing report .

This is good advice. I divide my clients into two categories; those who have a passion for their product or service and those who just do it for the money and have no interest. The ones with passion will do well and I always find their sites in the top 10 serp due to the passion portrayed through their content. Sadly the ones with no passion will become cyberjunk in a few years.

If we are making seo strategy for new site we should focus on some points like to avoid low value back links pointing to your website, avoid stuffing keywords unnecessarily in the website and try to give top priority to high quality content.

There are so many ways to perform SEO...

Personally, I focus my attention on content, nice url names (without ids), nice linking inside the website, frequent content posting. ...

Today I saw a very interesting post in the SEOMoz blog about this topic.

Make a Google search in the topic of your page.

Carefully analyze the first 10 hits what google gives you.

Check their websites, how it is bulit, how they link internally.

Where do they get links from etc.

Than learn (but not steal!) from them. e.g. if your #1 competitor has a blog consider adding a blog to your site.

This is an easier way than first learning SEO than work out a SEO strategy yourself.

The best and foremost SEO technique for 2013 is social media marketing, guest posting and content writing. moreover link building directory submission and social bookmarking is also very important.

Well almost done. Social media recently rolling. Grab slowly links, exchange links between companies website. But do it slow.

Newly published websites require lots of tasks to be done on their first month to be able to see how feasible they will be. Before you even begin thinking about conducting a backlinking campaign, make sure that your site is set up as effectively as possible from an internal SEO standpoint. The web runs on keywords, so targeting the wrong keywords at the outset of your SEO campaign will make it difficult for you to see results. Focus on building high quality links first...

Hi,

Sticking to basics and not overdoing any strategy will help a lot, according to my experience. Avoid low quality links and be creative in building natural high quality backlinks. Add to Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics and build links naturally with high authority. Also, Facebook and twitter mentions help.
