So who's on Google-Plus then?

Featured Replies

Sup everyone,

Probably a question already asked but I can't find it.

Who's on the Google-Plus then?

I have just setup a page so you can find mine here - https://plus.google.com/b/113753318430204748202/113753318430204748202/posts

Going to do a series of free psd files I think and update Google-Plus every time I put one out.

Well I don't know but im about to try and bring it back :hi: .

Zed you must have a Google-Plus hidden away somewhere?

Have one, but I've haven't been using it. Maybe I should actually update it one of these days...

Throw it up Pete, you might get some following you and visa-versa, it's like an rss feed on the homepage so some stuff you might actually want to get involved in.

I have but only to hold it. Don't use it, can see no point, it will be gone the way of Wave soon.

If you do any sort of freelance/company management, its foolish to ignore G+. The way they plan on integrating into search is massive. Google know its a ghost town but i reckon within 5 years it will be an essential part of online marketing (including seo).

5 Years is a sodding millennia on the internet. Google might have gone out of business by then.

Exactly. I don't think I'll worry too much.

Yeah mate, sorry never included in my pp, but I only use it when the moon is blue :)

Just looking at it, and its changed a lot and actually looks pretty useful (i would hope so even more so if you use Analytics and WMTs etc).

Also note the "within 5 years" fellas.

I think for the 5 minutes it takes to secure your brand/name its really a no brainer imo.

Nice one, I will add you guys up in a bit. Might as well never leave the bloody Google account alone.

The amount of work Google are putting into this thing, the network itself, integration into the search results, extensions in Adwords, using html5 markup to signal Author data back to the Plus page.

Bit out of data but does show the rate of growth at the beginning - http://on.mash.to/qeIG46

Google wont let this die, I think they would bye someone out before it did.

Anyway keep the Google Plus pages coming :)

yeah I quite agree with you open.

Nice one, sent you a request (or whatever you call on G+) Speak soon hopefully :)

I think the correct terminology is your now 'Following' me or my page. :friends:

No hopefully about it, soon as you ping up on my page ill follow you back and leave a comment.

In aid of this thread my first psd is going to be some Google plus follow buttons (Free of course).

We've already got this thread on the forum somewhere, if i can find it i'll merge the two.

Until i do...

Business... https://plus.google.com/113142617073648427124/posts

Got a lot of work to do on them and still not sure why my business domain points to my personal account haha. Also if you look through my circles you'll find a lot of people from WDF.

I do believe that Google Plus will become a much larger entity and Google already uses it to pin point authors from articles on separate sites using rel="author".

Interesting read right here http://yoast.com/push-rel-author-head/

Thanks for the follow Mike, I will reciprocate when I get a sec.

Bit of a mixed response from the mods here then.

Dude put up your Google Plus, follow me and I will follow you. I update everyday as well with actually decent stuff, I spend time looking for things to share which I think are great.

I am! I'm really trying to migrate everything over to it so I can step away from the infinite evils of Facebook...

I just recently bailed from facebook after getting annoyed with vapid status updates from people I don't care about. Kinda enjoying being off the digital leash for now. I may move over to G+ though. I already have an account there, just never ever used it for anything. What's the main advantage over Facebook?

I'm one of those nuts who values my privacy on the internet. I don't have a personal Facebook account, just a pseudonymous one for app development etc. Tried G+, but when they brought in the real names policy I deleted my account, I like to at least have the option of pseudonomy.
