my first thought was a mailing list but i need to build one and that takes a long time. okay so i guess the tweeting thing is not very useful, il take it out of my deals.

Well yeah none, but it helps to generate a bit of traffic and awareness about the website. I dunno, im just trying to find services that people need and sell them all together in packages. if you don't think that tweeting service is useful i might just trash it.

I have a friend who has more than 30,000 twitter followers. well, if you get that feeling, then i guess i have a lot to work on.

Well, i just do freelance writing and i set a stopwatch when i start working and see how much i make per hour. I can usually make 20$ or so per hour.

Hello guys. I'm new to this forum so bear with me. I am trying to start a small business online where i establish websites for people and help optimize them, etc. I have already decided on my package deals and i have everything organized but i don't have a website yet. I am planning on setting up a website soon but i was just wondering what would be the best way to advertise my services. Should i use a ecommerce template for my website and people can buy my services immediately or should i ask them to contact me for quote,etc. Any advice that you might have would be helpful. its free but if you want new templates you have to buy them. i installed it on my website but i didn't like the defualt template and i didn't have enough money to buy a new one so i just deleted the whole thing

I think it depends on who you are dealing with. Some companies have a large budget for websites while other companies or individuals do not have large budget. I think it all depends on who you are trying to sell to.

i find it easier to quit smoking if you hang out with people who are also trying to quit.

im not going to sell free themes. im going to hire people to make themes for me and then use those themes to make websites for people

Well thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Now im reading some Wordpress theme tutorials and i'm going to work on customizing my theme and improve my graphic design skills in order to make the website look more professional. Then i will apply what i learned when i make my main website for the services i provide. Cheers.

haha i made that ad myself, first time making a 250x250 ad. im taking it down from the website, doesn't really need to be there. and thanks a lot for the advice. But it will take a very long time for me to learn how to write the script for my own themes, it would be more convenient to just buy themes from professionals. wouldn't it?

The theme, the pages, the sidebar stuff. is the blog easy to read [link removed by moderator, read why here] etc. im going to make a professional website but right now i don't have money to invest in domains, themes, and what not. just wondering if the theme is okay for a temporary solution to advertise the services. oh and how do you tell if a theme is free or not?

thanks for the suggestions. the reason i use images for the deals is because i don't know how to advertise or style theme in any other way. the theme is free and quite simple, i will see if i can find professional theme to buy...

the text is a bit too large for me. I like how the scrolling navigation works. i would just change the size of the page title text

images are too big and low quality... the strip of color at the top of the website is a bit out of place. you should also make the image area a little smaller, it fills up my entire screen

It has potential but there are a few things that you need to change. In my opinion i think you should work on the navigation bar - add a color effect when the mouse hovers over a button - or just design buttons in general. i don't like plain text navigation bars. In general, its not bad.
