WDF Gamers: what are you playing at the moment?

Featured Replies

At the moment I have just moved in my own house, So I have no phone line which means no internet (Phone line = £130 ouch...) So I decided to format my pc and install the SIMS2 not bad but I miss my World of Warcraft

What do you play and do you play WoW?

I have played WOW but man! did my social life take a beating - that game is so addictive - brilliant but you need extreme self discipline! haha!

Im playing Dawn Of War: Dark Crusade quite a bit (its one of the few games I have!).... im hoping to get a new PC soon that will be able to handle better games like Assassins Creed, Crysis etc. Just biding my time till all the Nvidia 9000 card series come out and hopefully get a good price on a 8800gt or maybe 8800gtx.

I'm playing ... Settlers II - yes, the one which was released in 1997... it's great :D

Also, Lost Odyssey.

Peggle has stolen my life...

LOL!

my list:

DS: Apollo Justice

PC: Theme Park (as always), Oblivion and about to start jack keane on Friday

Wii: Mario Galaxy and resident evil chronicles

ps2: Final Fantasty XII

Apart from Apollo Justice, Oblivion (and Jake Keane ) I have completed the other ones and just doing all the side quests and getting top scores and stuff like that.

I play Wii!

Currently loving:

Playground

Bully: Scholarship Edition

Mario & Sonic at the Olympics

I've got an Xbox360, I don't play PC games at all really.

Bought and completed Army Of Two on the day it came out. Before that, was playing Burnout Paradise. Someone's also bought me the Lost game, so i'll be playing through that too.

Massively looking forward to GTA4, have it on preorder already. :D

Wii: Trauma Center: Second Opinion

PC: Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 & CoD2

Want to get CoD4 but not got the time to play it, I also have CoD3 Wii but it's too hard  - I don't have that much upper body strength!!!!

I need a new PC as well :(

Not owning up to the fact I kicked your butt in CoD2 the other day Ben?

Ha it was fluke! You have to come back and get ur revenge ;):flm16:

Woooooooooooooooooooot I do accept your challenge Sir!

Come. And. Get. It. :girl_devil:

(Famous last words)

yay! I'm not the only one who plays rollercoaster tycoon!!!

My nephew got it for Christmas a few years ago - when he was 8 and we sat and played it for days. When I cam home, my head was still full of the sounds and I was having rollercoater tycoon dreams and so I bought it for myself and got totally addicted...sad but true.

Before that I was playing half life - but got stuck on a boss level and got fed up with trying to shoot a helicopter dropping bombs on me whilst also trying to stear a boat and fire at it at the same time - it did my head in.

I also love the MYST games ever since I played the first one as it came free with my first ever mac...but been so busy that I've still got to finish MYST IV Revelation and I haven't even take the wrapping off MYST V End of Ages which the OH bought me ages and ages ago.

Has anyone here played zookeeper - the last company I worked at, we disocvered this game and got totally addicted to it and played it every lumchtime for months and tried to beat each others highscores and kept a tally of who was best...it got really competitive and ridiculous. it's such a simple basic game too...they're always the addictive ones.

The previous company I worked for we'd login to Soldier of Fortune every lunchtime and blow each others brains out which helped combat the **** pay and working conditions.

I have stopped playing RCT3 for a little while at the moment. I really really got into all the custom scenery and stuff, installed tonnes of it and starting building a park but my computer can't really handle it.

So hopefully I'll get a new PC soon that will load my Park in less than 15 minutes

Plus as much as I love being creative, I tend to miss the stress relief from playing games like CoD2 and blowing holes in folk. :)

Battlefield 2 is my current shame...must play more...all of the time...AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halo 3 for me, I absolutely love that game (and the prequels!)

I so can't wait for Spore to come out; I was over moon when I heard it supported the Mac!

COD4 All the way!! Havn't played 1 level of single player, it's all been online play.

Good call Ben, COD4, although you're missing a trick with the single player, awesome storyline.

Thanks, i'll have to give it a whirl this weekend I reckon. :)

I'll also try upgrading to the latest version so we can play online if you want? :)

Yes mate, I'm just about to go on for a blast tonight for a couple of hours if you're around?

Singleplayer isn't that long so you can do it in a day if you put your mind to it...

And the Wii - Good ol' Wii sports, do love a spot of bowling!

Whats your gamertag mate?

Add me up, I'm EggManJohn (no surprises there eh? lol)

Awsome game, single player was ok, but too short. Multiplayer is where its at!

A day? I've done runthroughs in about 6 hours on occasion ... quite a lot of that time is the sniper mission, sneaky sneaky:D

I love sneaky sneaky games! Like the Splinter Cell games, those are quality!

really? i thought it was about 8hrs long?

Anyway, I really meant as in "without distractions" sort of thing. It's rare I get to sit down and just play a game without something else getting in the way.

I am currently playing COD4 or Fifa 2008 on xbox 360.

gamertag is dundeedumbass if you want to play

Whats your gamertag mate?

In CoD4 i'm either just "Ben" or "The Zapper" (From Futurama)

I play normally with these servers:

Deadly Forces Hardcore

GoldMemberYeahBaby

Search and Destroy [s&h]

They are normally at the top of the low ping servers.

I'll probably be patching it to the latest version this weekend, so there will be new fav' servers, what are you playing on? Got any i.p's?

Regards

:)

Ah you play on PC? I think EggMan was asking for your Xbox Live gamertag. I play CoD4 on XBL also. :)

Maybe we should have a thread for gamertags, id's etc... :)

I am (probably) far too old to be playing games, but hey.. I still do... when I got redundancy a while back I splashed out on a new telly and a 360... also, bought a PS3 last year and have a Wii. In fact, I also have a PSP And a DS... is that everything covered? ;)

Current faves:

DS: New Super Mario Brothers (still not completed it!)

PSP: Loco Roco (a superb game, highly recommended!)

Wii: Mario Galaxy, WarioWare Smooth Moves, Wii Sports

360: Crackdown, Flatout Ultimate Carnage, Project Gotham 4

PS3: Burnout Paradise, FIFA 08, Ratchet & Clank, Call of Duty 4, but best of all - ROCK BAND!

I love sneaky sneaky games! Like the Splinter Cell games, those are quality!

Did you ever play the Thief games? I loved those.. lots of skeery moments playing late at night with the lights off..

I'm playing ... Settlers II - yes, the one which was released in 1997... it's great :D

Also, Lost Odyssey.

Ah yea! Amazing game! I never liked the versions after II.

I currenly play NFS ProStreet on PC, some BF2.

SoulCaliber on PS2.

Waiting for GTA4 to come out, then I'll buy a PS3 or 360.

Don't get loads of time to play games to be honest, with coming home from work, have food, sort kids out for bed (9month old girl and 3 yr ols girl), tidy the mess up, check E-mails. I'm ready for bed by then.

But when i do have time its COD4 on Xbox360, Crysis on PC

just got hold of Civ 4 Complete ... played it for a while till I got pissed off because a unit of longbowmen somehow took out two Riflemen... ghey.

Did you ever play the Thief games? I loved those.. lots of skeery moments playing late at night with the lights off..

Iv only played a demo of the first Thief game - a mate of mine used to be addicted to them, every time I called for him he had all the lights off and no heating on!! he then discovered WOW and I never see him! :fool:

Would you recommend any of the Thief games? there are three of them arnt there?

All 3 were good.. the last was made by a different company, and everyone was expecting it to be rubbish, but it was pretty good in the end. There was one level on there (The Cradle) that was set in an old lunatic asylum, and I swear that was the creepiest part of any game I've ever played :)

I haven't played WoW at all. I'm a bit afraid I'll never leave the house if I try it.. I do occasionally play Guild Wars, though. No monthly fees, which is a bonus.. actually, I might have a blast at that over the weekend.
