The designs are generally good, You are best having your own website and having a portfolio on your own website rather than on a 3rd party platform. As fisicx has said case studies will bring you in more traffic and work and having your own website with both past projects, case studies and client reviews on will bring you more credibility and clients.

As others have suggested, don't go for free, as it will make you and your friend look bad. Make a shortlist of hosting companies, then look not only at the price but also what they offer - website space, bandwidth and features such as script installers like softaculous which will allow you to install scripts like wordpress in one click. Once you have this shortlist, look them up and check to see if they have any reviews (good or bad)

As Fuzzy has said, eBay is the best option, you can list items at little cost and then pay commission on each sale. Also try Gumtree - it is free to list items in some sections/areas.

As BlueDreamer and rbrtsmith have said, Wordpress isn't the best option in this case. We have set up a dating site before using OSDate - it is a free script - http://www.tufat.com/s_free_dating_system.htm and it is easy to set up and use. You can then have this modified to include the features which are missing.

Reviewed using Google Chrome, Its a good looking site, fast loading, main body of text is easy to read. The only issue i can find so far, is the drop down menus, I would have it so the whole word is highlighted and not just an underline.

Depending on how the gateway has been setup and who the provider is, It is possible. However at some point they will find out what you are doing and you will lose the gateway. They will find out that gateway is being used on a website which is different to the the site when you signed up with them. It is all based on risk, which is why the fees are higher. If you are in the UK give Payment Sense a call as they might be able to give you a better rate.

Open another business account for it. For payment gateways look into Payment Sense - they are keen to take on new customers and give good deals on processing rates even for new businesses.

Hi Cee, If you are going to email potential employers then it would be best to have live working websites to show them. If this isn't possible you could put together your mock ups within a powerpoint or a PDF and host online, then you can include the link in your email. The work you have done 2 years ago can still be used as it will showcase your skills - just explain why you have been out of action for the last 2 years. Hope this helps.

Which of the world are you located in, It helps to find hosting in a region close to where your main users will be. To find a developer, you can post a job in the job board in this forum.
