I get errors with my video embed. It seems almost impossible to validate a video embed without using hacks and workarounds (Which actually dont work in every browser)... So I'd say in certain circumstances 1-5 errors (that are unavoidable) is quite acceptable to be honest.

Thanks for sharing

Sorry I've optimised the site significantly. How does it fair now?

Hey all, I recently setup the website Viewfamilyguy.com. It's been running for about a week now and has been receiving a steady stream of visitors. If you could give some feedback on the design/layout/functionality etc I would really appreciate that. Please remember not to comment on missing videos as I don't want this topic to go in any other direction than design/functionality feedback. In a few days I should have commenting and rating implemented and I'd like your feedback on any other suggested features that should be implemented. p.s. the video page doesn't validate due to the flash embed code, if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix that I'd also appreciate that Regards all that reply. James

I specialise in bespoke content management systems. I can help you by designing your own CMS to your specific needs. I can develop a CMS much like Cushy for use on your own server. I'd have to take a look at the brief before making a quote but I'd expect I could do this for around £200. Regards James

Feedback is great, feedback is also from customers with large amounts of feedback themselves. Overall I'd say this is legit.

I'm not 100% sure what your video ID variable is but I'm guessing it's "$v" if it is then... while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { unset($v); $name = $row['Name']; $artist = $row['Artist']; This will at least clear the variable. Although I'm thinking the problem is deeper.

$query="SELECT * FROM table WHERE ATTRIBUTE='red' AND ATTRIBUTE='large'";

I learned PHP from adapting "free" scripts many years ago. There's no harm in using freely available scripts as long as you don't claim them as your own. Eventually you'll be confident enough to make your own.

If you want to outsource this let me know in a PM and i'll send you a quote.

I just want to point out if you're currently unemployed and on Jobseekers if you find a company that is willing to take you on a placement (unpaid). If you notify the Jobcenter and they contact the company and everything is arranged you'll receive an extra £65 a week on top of your job seeker benefits as well as food and travel expenses if required. If the company then decide to take you on they'll receive an instant payment of £1000 as part of a government incentive to take on jobseekers whilst on placement. Remember this better than nothing

If your friend already has a landlord property website and wishes to have a custom bespoke CMS intergrated directly in to that then I'd be happy to assist in creating one. You'll be looking at a cost of about £200-£250 depending on the features. Give me a PM if you are interested in pursing this avenue further.

I may be able to help you out. Send me a PM

If you need help with this message me

Hey if you don't mind me asking, why don't you get this done profesionally? If your going to make money out of it then it's best to do it properly as you're on a long and slippery slope at the moment.

Hi, I used to own a successful hardware review website, I'll take a look at this free of charge if you want a simple review.

Giving a task such as designing a logo or page is normal. Not revealing the salary is a bit unusual, I'd be wary that they haven't announced it because it's actually pretty low. Edit: On seconds thoughts they might be determining the salary based on your experience and don't want to state a specific starting salary. Although in this case they normally state a range like £20-25k based on experience.

Is the 50% really worth them taking 60% of every future sale? If no and you can't resolve this I guess you could simply drop the client.

In the best possible way.
