What sort of web editor are you after? Use the one best for you. I use Notepad++ because it's simple, tabbed and fast to learn. Having backups, revisions and live updates wasn't essential for me as I am currently learning.

Interested concept.. Anyway I agree with Williams about the space. It feels a bit more than needed, but only a bit. Also you need to make the Google+ link more visible. Why not put it on the sidebar and use images? I wouldn't have really noticed it if it wasn't for the motivate of assessing the design.

I've been using it for a while and here's what I found: Posts are included in google searches authorship puts your face/bio to the world stronger SEO What I hate about it is the communities. It's full of people posting for their own good. Some share useful content but I hardly see any engagement. I think it's too early to really see major benefits from it. I did in one phase get a lot of my traffic from there, but it was just traffic.

I've been looking for a placement and came across many Junior Web Dev positions. They usually require you to have HTML5 and CSS experience, with a good understanding of JavaScript, and of course willingness as pointed out by BlueDreamer. As for free courses, check out this fantastic offer for these development resources. I just bought this so i'm afraid I don't know how good it is, but no doubt is the price worth it.

I agree with everyone else playing them sites down. I use 99designs not to find work, but to learn. I had only one logo in my portfolio so I decided to find some strong design briefs and then designed a logo from there, not for them but for myself. I have to admit that I once attempted a contest, but in all honesty the client picked the worst logo for his requirements.
