Yes very true, although you do get what you pay for and personally it helped me way more than W3schools. Also you cant leave out good, old fashioned reference books (up to date ones of course), I have a large collection. Good because you can go back to them time and again.

I use lynda.com to learn the basics.

Hi, I have been trying to find information on what to put in a contract, for example how do i make sure that it's legally binding? Is there set rules to what should be included in the document? Maybe I've missed a topic on here somewhere. Thanks, Matt

No as long as your willing to put the time and effort in it doesn't matter how old you are. My brother is an amazing programmer, started when he was 28. I started learning when i was 23 so just go for it. Good Luck

Personally i prefer Linux for its stability and speed, but i cant live without windows because of the amount of software i need to use with it. Wine on Linux helps for some stuff though. Getting my new desktop on Tuesday though woo hoo! Matt
