  1. Hello, I am trying to create a project which I have two tables- one table stores projects and the other table stores the project id's and the user ids of the users assigned to them. Multiple users can be assigned to a project. For example user id 1 might be assigned to project id 5 user id 2 might be assigned to project id 5 I want to then grab all the projects assigned to that particular user and echo out the data stored in the projects table. I am using PDO just having issues doing this - I can grab all the data individually so for example I can grab all the projects assigned to a particular user on the project id's and user id's table just not both together. Can anyone help?..
  2. Thanks for the help guys - decided was easier to learn this myself and do a lot of Googling haha.
  3. Oh that would be good if you're able to do that thanks. Yes I basically just need something a long the lines of this site: http://essexdigitalmedia.co.uk/sites/fastshowplates_new/
  4. Hi all - I have been tasked with creating a number plate designer script for a website. I've been having some real troubles and it's a tight deadline does anyone know a script which is pre-build which can be modified? Good examples would be: http://www.plates4cars.co.uk/designer.php#numberplates http://www.a1showplates.com/

I saw this a few weeks ago - was really nice site. I love twitch too and the streaming of gaming. When I am programming myself I find it good to have coding streams on in the background as they help motivate me to keep going. Defiantly recommend this site for others.
  6. Vanilla forum is very good and clean forum software. There are plenty more for you to choose. MyBB and phpBB. Once your forum populates you can upgrade to a paid one or even stay on the free onces. I've seen plenty of large user based forums which are running on free forum software. Shared hosting is your best option to begin with. I would recommend going with a smaller company though as they do not tend to overload their servers with high amounts of accounts. If you do some searching around you will be able to find a good shared hosting.
  7. The first one looks like it was made in the 19th century. The second one looks more professional and it looks like it was made in this day and age. I hope no one picks the first one.
  8. Hello, I have just started up a web hosting company and I was wondering if going for reseller is the right choice? I plan to expand but to begin with is it a safer option to go for reseller web hosting and then expand once you get the customers or is it better to get a server and manage it all yourself. Bare in mind if I have the reseller I don't have to pay for any of the licences. I just wanted to get some peoples opinions on this... I currently use HostDime for reseller hosting. They offer a free WHMCS licence with all Reseller packages.
  9. I have started using HostDime, you can check them out at http://hostdime.co.uk their UK reseller packages are great and good for money. They don't have any "unlimited" packages, you get what they advertise. Great service, i would highly recommend them to anyone.
  10. I have been using PyroCMS recently, it is built from CodeIgniter. I'm not sure if you will be able to build a estate website from it you will have to have a look.

  12. I have done some research myself and found a great solution for you, http://www.limesurvey.org/.
  13. I don't like the background it is too colourful and I think it takes your eyes off the main content in the middle of the page.
  14. Hello, My name is Tom Wignall and I am 18 years old. I have been designing websites since I was 15/16. Recently i have started up a web hosting company and soon will be start advertising once everything is set-up. I am also starting a web design business up since I need some money because I am off to university in September. I know HTML, XHTML, CSS and Basic PHP. My current website is: http://tomwignall.co.uk If you need anything please feel free to send me a PM on this forum and I will answer any questions you might have.
  15. A great start would be to build up your portfolio, you could go to local businesses and offer to do them discounted websites just to build up your portfolio. You should get a website online advertising your services you offer. Another great method would be to go on forums like this one and continue posting, most forums have a signature feature which will allow you to link to your web design business. This would be great because if it is a popular website then they will pop up onto Google searches. You could try and make leaflets and post them through all the doors in your area and if anyone needs a website they can contact you through that way. I hope I have helped you.
