hi all, sorry I thought nobody replied as I didnt get any notification emails. Not much has changed since my post to be honest. Not only slow server response, but often I get "500 Internal Server Error" or "cannot connect to database error". These are surely to do with the servers being either overloaded or down. Only recently I started using uptimerobot and every other day I get a notification email saying one of my sites is down. it is anything from 10-15 minutes to 30-40 minutes. Im not very impressed, I must admit. Funny enough, on HI, they mention nothing about uptime, whereas others advertise or guarantee 99.9% uptime. Im going to give it another few months, and maybe in the meantime try another company. At the moment Im inclined to try webfusion but surely they will have their pros & cons. If anybody has used webfusion and if they can share their good/bad experiences that would be great. thanks

hi all, I was searching heartinternet (HI) reviews on google and came accross this forum, and I must admit I'm suprised to see so many people with very positive thoughts about HI. I'm currently a reseller and registered with HI, and have been looking into alternatives. My experience is not as positive as others. This made me think that HI is behind this forum one way or another, would be interesting to know. I develop sites using Joomla (on its own or along with Virtuemart), and I find the connection speed annoyingly slow. It is just fine half of the time, and the other half is not so good. Naturally I log on as an admin to Joomla back-end and sometimes I have to wait 8-10 seconds. And there are times it just wont load. I can ensure you it's not my pc or connection. This happens not only at peak times.. can happen at any time, 10am, 4pm, 3pm, 11pm, 3am.. I contacted HI number of times which they ask for logs, and precise times when I had the slow connection. Although it is understandable why they ask this, it is not always practical to note it as it happens quite frequently. And when I sent the times etc, they said everything was alright.. So unfortunately I'm not impressed with the speed. Otherwise support is very good (I dont bother with phone anyway, so no issues for me). Would be interesting to get some feedback from other resellers regarding the server speeds. One thing I noticed on HI they say nothing about server uptime (or guranteed connectivity), where others usually say 99.9% guaranteed. I'm currently considering webfusion's reseller package, so any feedback would also be great.
