  1. Love those Mike!
  2. Received this t-shirt in the post this morning, I'd happily live by this... Join me and post your t-shirts of win here!
  3. So a while ago now, I posted a topic regarding the branding of Liquid-Drive but since then I've been busy and haven't really had a chance to actually crack on with it. So yesterday evening, I managed to get a few ideas together and one of them has really stuck on me. So here is what I began with: Obviously the previous one was completely, boring in my opinion so I thought I'd incorporate the word Liquid into it, so I had an idea first of water/liquid pouring into the circle but it didn't work out too well so I chose to create a leak effect instead. After some feedback on Forrst, it was clear that the drips on the previous concept was that if the logo was scaled down... it wouldn't show up so I bulked out the drips and levelled out of the liquid inside of the circle and added some bubbles to "elevate" the idea of it being liquid but someone mentioned that it also wouldn't show up too well if it was to be scaled down. Therefore, I'm wondering whether to remove them completely or enlarge and add a few more bubbles. What does everyone think? Thanks, Joe
  4. I think the only problem with pricing... You don't want to charge too little that you're struggling for money after, or charge too much that they suddenly disappear of the face of the earth.
  5. Thank-you Root, I would've found it but when I search for "website cost" it didn't return any results :/. Can an admin please delete this topic then?
  6. Hello, All of my previous work has been for people I've known ("mates rates") for a long while now and I've had my first client that I don't know who is asking for a quote and I'm not 100% sure on what I should be charging. He was asking for a complete re-design, content will be provided as well as the company logo, an implemented CMS so he and his colleagues could change the content... It's possible for me to do all of that, but how much should I quote him?! Thanks, Joe
  7. I had previously used Cufon but unfortunately some CSS elements weren't possible with the fonts I we're using.
  8.    Liquid-Drive reacted to a post in a topic: Cufon (Text Shadow)
  9. Working exactly how I wanted it to do, thanks Matt! [Logo here]
  10. Will try this out once I'm home, thanks matt.
  11. I scrapped the glow for now, I can add it in later. The glow you suggested still didn't work.. thanks anyway!
  12. I wasn't using a Cufon for the text on h3, I was just testing to see if the CSS for text-shadow was fine and the glow worked fine with it. I'm just curious as to why it isn't working on the h2 with Cufon... EDIT: Going to try the other method you should be when I'm @ My PC
  13. Anyone?...
  14. Hello, I began work for a friend of mine yesterday, its a project I want to work on and have had a few ideas for it. Would be nice to put it towards my portfolio. The CMS I'm using which is used for gaming organisations and teams is webSPELL. In the CMS it uses an echo fuction to show the clans name when they change it in the settings. So I thought about overlaying it over the original logo [Viewed here] instead of having the text on the image. So I started the following here: http://liquid-drive.co.uk/clients/teamaudacity/index.php You can see the logo now has text there which using Cufon gave me the original font used on the logo. Unfortunately I'm having some issues with the text-shadow property. If you saw the original logo I posted earlier in this topic it showed that the text had an outer glow which I know can be achieved with the text-shadow property in CSS. If you view source/inspect element you can see my 2nd header tag [h3] is using the same effect I used with the Cufon on the header but its not giving me the same effect... If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!
  15. I'm on the exact same wavelength as yourself! Would be great to get some help with this!
