  4. Doesn't schoolswire do this for you or do they do nothing for the £249pa except provide a bit of hosting and some templates?
  5. http://maps.google.com/help/maps/getmaps/
  6. At which point it's neither identical or duplicate.

eh, the 'default zoom' is showing things at 100%, shouldn't you be creating your website to fit this rather than trying to force a browser to fit what you've done?
  9. at a quick/instant look, I'm a but white spaced out and don't see any 'structure'
  10. because the way you're doing it you're going to have many divs with the same ID and that is what classes are for.
  11. well firstly you should really make it a class, not an ID and then either remove the top or bottom border and then do something when you've read the first or last record to do the top or bottom border.
  12. yeah, right on dude. I see things, Indians pretending to be American. And not red ones either.
  13. or http://mailchimp.com maybe?
  14. getting back to the CMS and database though. Whoever is doing it for you is saying use Excel as it's probably the easiest to maintain records in before converting to CSV and importing. IF you can get the information from suppliers and it's in some other format then they won't want to be importing lots of different ones into the database as it will be more work for them/more cost for you. So regardless of the business, where the data is coming from, I suspect that is why they want it that way.
  15. how about putting up your budget first. If you can't do that the thread will be removed and we'll play it by the book and you have to pay to look for work.
  16. it's still too much of an unknown to make a real contribution. Don't know what business area, is the thing global or just local, how many addresses/locations are needed? If it's for, say, restaurants or fast food outlets and big chains then go to them and ask. if it's your local outfits then you're going to have to do some keying unless companies like Yell or BT will give you access to their address information. When it comes to the next step of menus then that opens up a whole new area of keeping the databases updated. Full time job at least unless you have some sort of buy in from the businesses.
  17. are you saying that Alan (and he missed his surname 'Butchers' from this post) could be disingenuous with his posts?
  18. as your page isn't HTML the HTML5 version may not work without you changing that as well. I'd be inclined to try one of the others and make sure you follow and add all parts they say. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
  19. and something to put it on http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2218462/Microsoft-finally-reveals-Surface-tablet-cost-309-434--undercutting-Apples-iPad.html
  20. might be easier if you can upload a page with the code you have added and then someone can have a shufti
