What is your opinion in doing e-commerce website using WordPress platform? Is it a good idea to choose?

I would probably go for shopify solution as this is specifically an e-commerce platform, hosting is included in the monthly fee, for further information have a look at https://www.ecommgarage.com/

 

BTW You can add Ecommerce to any wordpress site using their Woocommerce plugin

It really depends on your products, customers and people who have to manage the site. What you need to do is compare ecommerce addons/scripts etc to determine which would work best for your business.

totally. I have a client doing ecommerce on a facebook page. It's the ideal solution for them.

Magento is better? yeah, probably.

Hello It really depends upon your budget if your budget is really high then you can go with Magento or else you can go with Shopify or WordPress.

Depends what you are selling. Easy Digital Downloads is an excellent WordPress plugin for selling digital downloads. Woocommerce is very good for physical products. These are plugins used by thousands of people so WordPress is definitely a solid options. Make sure you get some good hosting though.

you may check the trends here for woocommerce, and compare with other ecommerce platforms...i think woocommerce will cross Magento and other platforms easily

I suggest you to go for Shopify or Magento as they are the most trusted platforms for  e-commerce build up. They are sturdy and provide you a reliable and easy to use interface for e-commerce product listing.
