Adobe Packages

Featured Replies

I know this is a bit 'tut tut' but sort of go along with the theory that for learning it is ok (once working we can buy professional packages), but does anyone know the best place to get a free version of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. I have windows vista and 32bit system.

Thanks in advance

I don't want to sound rude BUT this thread really annoyed me. We all probably pay for it here and I have at £62 a month it isn't cheap.. my advice don't try to "rip the system off" if you want to learn purchase a student license like most of us probably did.

Failing that i have 3 spare licences your welcome to "rent" off me for a small fee.

I bought a copy in college years ago (when disks still existed), the discount has always been quite large for students. The cost can be steep if your studying, but there's no legal alternative I'm afraid. I use Adobe CC now, which gives you access to everything.

I'd either look at purchasing a legitimate copy, or using alternative software either free or open source. I know a few Mac users choose Pixelmator and Sketch instead of Photoshop and Illustrator, both accept the standard .PSD and .AI formats for opening documents, and are considerably cheaper for a full license.

£16.00 a month or there about I am paying for a student licence, if you don't want that you could purchase a student version of CS6 as there are still a few floating around and the legit keys will still work as they should.

And that's not really a huge outlay in the grand scheme of things. not much more than 1-2 pints a week. Certainly worth the money if you are serious.
