October 14, 201411 yr Been trying various keyword searches for our website but after 3 months it's still not showing up in any Google search. I would expect it to show up somewhere. Can anyone offer any explanations? Website is air2b.com Thanks

October 14, 201411 yr Google has indexed you - do a search for "site:www.air2b.com/". Suggestion - use the word "cheap" instead of "low cost"...
October 14, 201411 yr Author Thanks...I can see it's indexed...just can't understand why it doesn't come up in general searches e.g. airport transfers mallorca
October 14, 201411 yr Thanks...I can see it's indexed...just can't understand why it doesn't come up in general searches e.g. airport transfers mallorca My guess is there is a lot of competition and because you have not been around for years you are not going to show up probably even on page 10. My current funny animals site has over 2000 photos added and around 400 facebook shares and has been around 10 months with 4,000 results in Google and I still am not showing on the front page under Funny Animal Pictures. So not to burst your Bubble but it could take well over a year to popup anywhere close to the front of Google depending on what SEO strategies you are doing.
October 14, 201411 yr You need to remember also that you are competing with some big name players in what seems a pretty crowded market. On what are going to be some pretty generic search terms. Take a look at your content. I did a search for 'low cost airport transfers'. Google returned 526,000 results with travelsupermarket.com being top. You will need to do some work to displace them. However I picked the seventh ranked site to take a look at. This is your home page content: Airport Transfers with air2b.comIf you have had a long day travelling to your departure airport, check in, security control, flying, waiting for your luggage, the last thing you want when you arrive at your destination airport is more waiting around in lengthy queues for buses and taxis (if you can find one, especially in peak periods) followed by a long transfer. If you want to save time, take away the hassle, the stress and make a good start to your long awaited break, you may prefer not to wait around for other passengers and irrespective of the number of persons in your party, you can book a private chauffeur-driven air conditioned vehicle, which will provide you on arrival with your own personal door-to-door transfer directly to your accommodation and the return transfer to the airport when departing. No other passengers except your party will be on board which will ensure that you don't have to wait around and will be at your accommodation in no time - a great way to start your stay...no queuing, no waiting, no hassle - with a speedy, comfortable, stress free journey. air2b.com - airport and holiday transfers at great prices...without the wait! This is the first two paragraphs of theirs: Welcome to a2btransfers.com, number one for low cost transfers worldwide. We offer airport transfers, resort transfers, city transfers, port transfers and ski transfers. Whether you need to get from airport to hotel or hotel to airport or a pick-up after your cruise, we can help with any airport transfers or port transfers to your resort or hotel via low cost shuttles, private taxis or alternative direct transfers.a2btransfers.com will supply you with online pricing, availability, instant online confirmation and billing, ensuring that all your travel details for your resort transfers, airport transfers and city transfers are available in minutes. Notice how they have used the words airport and transfer as every relevant opportunity and got low cost in a couple of times and have also got hotel in there, which means they should also rank pretty well for a search for 'airport to hotel transfers' The fact that they have transfers in the domain name also helps greatly. If you had air2btransfers.com as a domain name it would be a bonus.
October 14, 201411 yr Author Thanks...that makes a lot of sense. We'll have to re-write the homepage.
October 14, 201411 yr air2btransfers.com is available for $10.99, about £8 I believe. https://who.is/whois/air2btransfers.com Might be worth buying it before someone sees this thread, buys them all up and puts it back up for sale at an extortionate price.
October 14, 201411 yr Thanks...that makes a lot of sense. We'll have to re-write the homepage. Don't go to the other extreme and cram it with keywords though. That can have the opposite effect as it can make the content difficult to read. There is a recommended density for keywords and phrases in content. If you don't have a Google webmasters account sign up for one, just put 'google webmasters' into Google and it will pop it up for you. Read the documentation there which will give you some insights into optimizing your page content.

October 15, 201411 yr Hi davetee , just make sure you build high quality links and views your website from visitor perspective. Some keywords wouldnt be listing in the search results as it would be high competition keywords. It would take sometime for getting listed in the search results.
October 15, 201411 yr You have 5 referring domains, 4 of which are sending you nofollow links. The problem is that SEO isn't just an overnight activity, nor is ranking something you can just expect to happen. Why don't you change the content on http://www.air2b.com/destinations/location/envia-golf-spain to something thats targeting a keyword? Maybe something like Envia Golf Airport Transfer, then add a ton of awesome content. Do this for all your other landing pages, too. Reach out to holiday rental websites and ask if you can be featured as a supplier/provider of airport transfer services. Maybe get a little website widget, where third party websites could easily add a quick quote calculator, that has a branded-anchor link back to your website. You could some awesome links here. Your website is well designed and certainly user friendly, you just need to work with other companies to promote it.

Hmm, you clearly didn't try the big orange and white form in the top of the home page. It doesn't work. Might be a little more user friendly if it did, and it would be better to get that one working before asking any other sites if they would like a broken widget.
October 15, 201411 yr Author NFC are you saying the Booking Form on the front page doesn't work? If so what are you testing it on e.g. browser and version, etc.
October 15, 201411 yr Using FF32.0.3 It's not an IE only form is it? Seems to be a lot of them popping up again lately, several of them on the Vodafone site.
October 15, 201411 yr Author No it works with all major browsers, but IE 8 and above only. It's in the FAQ under viewing experience. I'm using the same version of FF and it's fine. What's not working on it? Edited October 15, 201411 yr by davetee
October 15, 201411 yr There are no options in the select dropdowns. If I refresh the page the top, Destination Country box will work but there are never any airports listed. It's possible that my security software or a browser add on is blocking the underlying JS. I'll fire up Chrome and take a look. Edited October 15, 201411 yr by nfc212
