What foreign language would you want to learn?

Featured Replies

Do you think learning a third language(or second in case English is your first) is valuable or why bother as pretty much Everyone speaks English nowadays? Which foreign language is most beneficial to learn? If you could learn any language in the world which language would it be?

The wife speaks English and French and I have Spanish, German and English sorted but any of the Scandinavian languages or Chinese/Japanese (however there are many variations)

Most beneficial to learn, probably Chinese more specifically Mandarin. Last I heard, it's the second-most widely used language in the world.

I'd actually like to learn Japanese; I'd like to visit Japan someday.

I think learning the third language is only a good thing if you know that it will be useful for you in the future, for example if you want to relocate or work in a foreign company. I think English, Chinese and Spanish would be useful in most cases though so if you don't speak one of them, go ahead and learn it.

First and foremost, I want to improve on my English ;) but more importantly need to be fluent in Japanese as going back next year. I think German would be great to learn (I was the worst at school though). Also I'd like to learn French seeing as I studied it for 3 or 4 years. School though, not through choice. After all that though it would be Portugese so I can be in on the joke when my Brazilian friends are talking about sport.

Ive always wanted to learn german, not sure why tho :|

This,

I've also always wanted to work there, seems so ahead of everything in Germany, I think thats why.
