Hello, been learning myself a little Photoshop and i am working on a website theme for a community crafts group i attend.

I have made two rough drafts, it has my colors i want to use and the layout, i was just wondering what theme is the better of the two? Before i do a lot more to them.These are still the rough drafts still plan to add that little bit extra finesse/finishing touches on to my pages, but need to know what is the most popular to work on.

I prefer the top colour scheme, the bottom one looks a bit too plain. Also the green and browns suit the sites subject better.

Colors are now a days really important. These colors fit the website pretty good.

 

This bells you use in the middle of the page are but nicer when they are round on the green design.

 

I do like the smaller logo on the black/white design. So maybe you can change that in the green design, that would be cool

That green reminds me of an avocado. But it works with the brown. I think you need a better icons for the wood carving, turning and crafts. You know what would help a lot for your site? Textures. Add some textures for the BG and it will pop the colors more.

I really like the first theme but as a user I would love to see a drop shadow behind the Title and the moto you have (after header)
something like that perhaps:

Hi guys forgot about this thread thank you for the feedback I decided to go with the black and white theme, but I have changed it around a little bit.I was in the situation were I wanted to use both so I may use the nature theme for my own purposes, the reason I chose the black and white as the group is mainly older generation where the contrast is better on black and white and it will give them a better user experience, but I will use the nature theme for myself, and i will think over the suggestions aswell.

i suggest natural walk with natural high grade colors.
