Finally a nice looking web design, love the colors and textures, however I would change those social icons, Im not a fan of that peeling effect

again, this is just me, others might find it cool

This. I know you've set it to 13px, but 13px in that particular font is nothing like 13px in Arial or Georgia, which is a good minimum size for legibility.

I agree with the text size being too small, also I think the timetable needs a bit of work.

Yeh brilliant site, I agree with the peeps above with the font size also maybe change the nav font as IMO its a little hard to read and in my opinion a nav should be easy on the eye to read, but yet again that is maybe just my eyes. Also the contact page, i'm using a 15" monitor and the input boxes are too big you have more that one line for the name and email address, there is no need really :-)

Nice website! you might want to change the welcome text into actual text though, using @font-face or something like that. Using an image there is a missed SEO opportunity.

Looks great! Just to let you know, parts of the site move outside of the screen if the browser is too small in width. It can't be scrolled into view.

Very nice looking site mate good use of colours and white space balance. couple of points that i think have already been made

 

• the timetable
  • avoid the use of an actual table for this i would use a combination of divs with CSS

  [*]Justify your text on all p tags it makes the text look more professionally laid out. (IMHO)[*]Make all your page titles along with the welcome text actual text (i suggest using Google Web fonts they have a wide selection of font types at your disposal)[*]Get rid of the "peely" social icons in favour of more aesthetically pleasing ones (maybe grey scale or grey scale with red in it to keep in tune with your colour scheme[*]Style the form on the contact page to be more in line with the rest of the sites layout and colour scheme you will be surprised what you can do when styling form items.[*]and finally on the home page maybe use a content slider to advertise the martial arts more kinda like a billboard effect.

I disagree. It is tabular data, so it is semantically correct. However... it really should be styled in some way.

The only thing I would change is the timetable. I agree with cibgraphics, its tabular data , a table is perfectly fine to use here, but how about something like "border:1px cccccc" in your css for the table?

Why? Its precisly what they were designed to for. If you had to bang a nail in a wall. you'd use a hammer. You wouldn't not use the hammer because they have been around for years. Right tool for the right job.

When I'm on the "home" and "martial arts" page, the "contact" button in the menu bar moves underneath the rest of the navigation. Any reason why?

Good point. Tables still remain, just put back into the place they should be. We must use them where tabular data is concerned if we want to be marking up semantically.

Good strong design. Only suggestions would be the video looks a bit lost in the center like that and the body text on the lower half of the page might look a bit better if you increased the line-height slightly.

Only suggestion I can make is get some images that do your web design justice! And I'm guessing that's not really up to you.

Really nice design but its not phone friendly. im viewing on a samsung galaxy s2 and it doesnt scroll to fit. not a huge problem but what is is that i cant scroll to see the left part of the site. it has been cut off completely up to the right side of the logo.
