How do you like this?

My Portfolio site. http://fromhtml.com . The imac is a slideshow hit each sifde of the screen

Very 'in your face', not necessarily a bad thing just my personal opinion is I not keen on yellow on websites.

I would definately consider placing some navigation arrows (or something) on the imac as unless you told me, I wouldn't have clicked.

I would get these errors fixed, pretty basic ones to amend so shouldn't be an issue.

Your homepage has no content. Oh, there's some text there in the image, but as far as a search engine can see it's a completely blank page.

Also, I'd lay off the "my company" stuff until you register a company.

Both Problems Fixed

Edited by whyelse

I like the yellow on black but because its so strong I don't know where I'm meant to go next?

You could put so much more on your homepage, you don't need extra pages just to have extra pages. Your first page could be your portfolio and save people a click :)

Your large curlies ( {} ) are not aligned. Text out of view etc. Overall I'm not a big fan

1. Very messy code... You really need to work on this before you start sending to possible clients.

2. iMac slideshow is kitschy, un-intuitive, and does nothing to actually assist in showing your work. In fact it is currently limiting the size of your designs to the point where I can't see anything of value by viewing this slideshow, and the fact that it's an old model of the iMac makes you seem not exactly astute.

3. You should not put an image of your portfolio site in the portfolio of your portfolio site... The viewer does not want to get inception'd... That, and, it's redundant as hell.

In terms of the overall design of the site... I don't like it, but I am highly allergic to bees, so... Take what you will from that.

Working on new Home page with images instead of a slider

best check it in IE. Had a squint in IE9 and the layout is not good.

And have a look at using DIVs rather than tables. The Table Police will want to cut things off you.

Site Updated with new (sort of) nav and Index

Layout seems messed up in IE (as always) Double logo in 9 and Logo too far right in IE 8

broke in safari and most browsers on the mac... id ditch the black and go with grays and then use that bright yellow to work with you rather than against
