Hi all users!

This is my first post here, and I thought that showing some works of mines would have been the best introduction.

I'll be glad for any commment (positive or not) and I apologize for any mistake with English, but it's not my language (so I'll thank you twice if you will correct both works and English errors^^). Cheers!

Well, here they are:

my first layout (made some months ago):

layout for a local advertising company (project was aborted after the "client" had ripped some previews -.-'):

gadget for the same honest guy:

Hi and welcome to the site.

Looking good for a starter, the only design I really dont seem to like is your toutube channel.

Too pink-ish, almost suffocating.

I like your other designs, especially the illustration of the boy with the fish, you make it?

I agree; I made several versions in different colours, but this was the only one which didn't loose too much quality after been uploaded (you can't use images bigger than 256 kb on utube). Anyway, it was just for fun, so I really didn't work hard on it ;)

Yes, I made all by pen-tool (the only thing that I didn't is the can).

Ahoy. I like your coffee cup that is pretty cool! Seems you quite like your illustrations

Thank you!

Welcome, Some great stuff there. I mostly like the weirdness of the boy fishing one. My sort of thing.

^^ I'm thinking of adding more details, except in the "fish", that will be filled with text. It's only a try: I'm sure I'll keep changing it, also to make easier to code it.

Thank you all for your welcome!

These are really awesome in my eyes. You have a good style and some really nice ideas, best part is they are all so HQ and look fantastic. I also don't like the youtube background also. But yeah I like the details on it.

You're definately talented adeptusmagos theres no doubt about that! keep up the good work.

Too kind, guys!

These are all experiments; I'm not a professional designer and I know I still have a lot to learn about web-design. I'd like to develop my own minimal-vectorish style, but there are so many inspiring works you can find around the web that I'm never satisfied of mines.

Anyway, thanks for your comments!

I *really* like the boy fishing, and I reckon if you removed the illustration of the boy in the cap on layout #1 and tidied it up a small bit, it would look awesome. I just think the illustration makes it look childish, playful and young, whilst the rest of it is stylish, corporate and professional.

Good job!

Good stuff! Loved the pubbli cafe website.. Really nice work there.

I'm not sure how the last one is going to work in terms of where content will be displayed but you're a great illustrator! :)

Oh yeah and, it really sucks that your client screwed you over, but to make sure that doesn't happen, give them previews only in a reduced resolution. Not too low, they need to see the details, but not high enough that they can rip the design. If possible, also give them a poorly compressed image. That way they would likely need to hire someone else to clean it up if they want to rip the design, and they won't go through with that kind of headache.

Neither do I: I was simply inspired  I'll start refining it!

Thank you, dude ;)

Yes; that work was one of my first serious ones and I just wanted to make a good impression :cray: I'll follow your advice :hi:

Hi guys!

Here is what I'm working at right now. It's a style totally new to me, but...oh well, let's do it!

First of all, I used burn/dodge/sharp tool and gradient maps to make the pic I'd chosen as background more appealing and compatible with other colours. Secondly, but not for importance, simplicity: this site would be for a mountain refuge (I don't know if it's correct in English) and its target will be both young and less young people, so navigation must be as much simple as possible. I still have to add many details, but this is the general look.

Cheers!
