Logo for Website
Imho, first version works fine. I mean, even if it's not a "M", our brain recognize it as if it were. I read an article talking about brain's capacity of reading and understanding words even if written wrong or with missing letters. Furthermore, children make mistakes with their first attempts to write Somehow, it reminds me the movie Monsters&co; I'd just detail it a bit more. Also making it look not right in front of it would give its expression more personality. What I don't like is the font, and text in general. Hope I was useful.

New (at) web design
Thanks, Bruce! I'm really digging this style, in particular the way pro designers create structures with typo, empty spaces and colours. And proportions above all. I've been spending the most time on grids, looking for a kind of common factor, so all the elements don't look random (maybe the last sentence is a bit confused, but I've the bad habit of thinking in Italian while writing in English).

New (at) web design
I tried with red, but it didn't convince me fully. Footer will be simple as well. I still don't know which links there will be, so I just made the basic structure. The poor bird is just temporary: I need a better scanner (this is a bad picture of a drawing I took with my digital camera). I'm also considering to add a playlist with some music, but I don't know where. Bottom right?

New (at) web design
Thanks rhfmedia! Here are some updates. As you can see, the nav bar is very simple; I'm just not sure if to use a different colour for the highlited voices: maybe a red? Perhaps, it would result reduntant. I'll think to footer later; now, I'm considering to draw my own facebook/twitter etc icons. Does it make sense or better some cleaner design? Thanks again. Cheers!

New (at) web design
Hi everybody! Here is my first attempt with minimalism. It's for a friend who asked me to put together some ideas, but without telling me which ones nor how. It's still pretty wip, but I'm focusing on style right now. Nothing special to say about typo: I just played with Indesign style options until I was quite satisfied with spacing (it was also the first time I used Indesign: wow, I felt like a kid in wonderland!). Round shape was made by combining grunge brushes, textures and some filters, while the drawing is one of mines. Bye!

Thanks! Do you think it's a little better now? I'm also working on perspective, but I want to fix basic shape first because the client liked the concept.

Ahah! Thaks guys! I really didn't notice the "pregnant" thing:I'll work on it. @Alluziion: what do you mean with "default perspective"? Bye!

Logo
Hi guys! Here I am with a new work. This time, I have to make a logo for a shop of female lingerie called "Mistress". I still have to add details and text, but I'd like to receive comments on the basic shape before I go on. Basically, I wanted to create a kind of serif "m". Bye!

Menu bar for fantasy-based website
I suppose that if you focused on graphic, you would save a lot of time/work while coding. I mean, working with images is definitely easier than trying to solve all your problems with codes. On the other hand, a too much detailed outcome might be heavy, annoying or almost impossible to code. A good balance is the best way, even if you lose some of the "wow-effect". Furthermore, last tendences in web-design seem to prefer conceptual or minimal rather than super-detailed approaches. The new attachment is an example of how details can make you forget that websites are not the main target, but the way to reach a target. I had to abandon it because not really compatible with the platform it was meant to be built on. Thanks for this conversation: for my studies, I havent got any chances to talk about graphic nor use English Cheers.

Menu bar for fantasy-based website
Correct, as you can see from the attachment. I worked just on a half and then flipped it, changing some details. Originally, it was was meant as a frame with an empty canvas inside, but I was asked to make it richer. As Seolover said, I will add titles as part of the image and then I will load it as single sections linking to different parts of the website (I hope my English is good enough to let you understand). Unfortunately, I can't help you with the tutorials; what can I say is to get inspiration from whatever you think it's useful/you like. For example, armours, castles and so on; even the games you mentioned. Another tip could be that of not to look for fantasy layout tutorials, but simply for fantasy tutorials, and then mix what you got in your designs. This for the graphic part. I'm not a "coder" (is it right?), so I don't know: is "try" a too obvious answer?

Of course! I'd like to add some more details, but I won't code it, so I've got the doubt it would be too heavy.

Menu bar for fantasy-based website
Hi everybody! I had no concept nor any particular request; it just had to fit the main theme of the website: fantasy, novels and so on. Actually, it's not my favourite kind of graphic; I prefer a minimal style, so I had to start from a pencil sketch which I exported in photoshop. Some colours/lights are still to be fixed and text added (I can't find any font I like: I suppose I'm going to make my own). Cheers

Flyer
This is a flyer I made for a company that installs elevators and stuff like that. Actually, I was given a few details about the business, but this is what I got. My idea was to create a surreal situation which could suggest the ability of this company in particular to satisfy even the hardest request. Text in the front page says "GTA elevators safety and comfort everywhere", while the other is only a list of its services. Here to you

Hair salon logo
I really like the T+H scissors (even though the "T" is not so immediate), while the "C" is a little bit anonymous: maybe move it up or down and make it look like a curl or whatever? I would also try something different for the "thehaircentre" tag. Bye!

Feedback on new apple logo
It looks like more an orange than an apple. I can't see any significant innovation: some layer styles and a pattern. I don't want to be mean, but I'm missing the point: if you made it as some kind of exercise, I'd suggest you to read some articles about new trends in graphic design, otherwise, to me, it appears a little bit kitsch. (The bottom of the shape needs to be refined). Keep it up

Some stuff :)
Hi guys! Here is what I'm working at right now. It's a style totally new to me, but...oh well, let's do it! First of all, I used burn/dodge/sharp tool and gradient maps to make the pic I'd chosen as background more appealing and compatible with other colours. Secondly, but not for importance, simplicity: this site would be for a mountain refuge (I don't know if it's correct in English) and its target will be both young and less young people, so navigation must be as much simple as possible. I still have to add many details, but this is the general look. Cheers! Bg original pic:

Logo bigger version: it was meant to mix a "t" and a "w", being for an online gaming community called "total war".

how can i design a background image like this?
Well, if you want something really close to it, but you don't have the starting image, you can easily work it out with the pen tool, playing around with colours, opacity and blending options. The black thing is just a gradient/brush/mask: I mean, you can achieve the same result in many ways. Bye!

New Website design
Nice overall looking, but there are too many already-made templates. I mean, this is my opinion about graphics only, not the usability. Bye

Please review my logo
Uhm...Actually, this is not a logo: no concept, nor original interaction among its elements behind it; it is just some text on a background with an icon of those you can download from the web for free. Please, do not take my criticism as gratuitous: I'm just trying to help you my best. First of all, colours and style: the hut doesn't suit the font and the blue is just out of place. You said you can't change font, which is not helpful: it is not graphical at all (at least, in my opinion). Try to play with different sizes and spacing, to make it less boring, leaving the problem of the icon to a second time. (I hope my English was good enough to be understood). Bye!

Game Website Logo Poll...
First one, definitely, even though I'd play more with text, colours and spaces. Did you make the fist or picked up an already-made one? Because the hand is much better than the arm. Where's the "b" in the last one? Bye!

Some stuff :)
Neither do I: I was simply inspired I'll start refining it! Thank you, dude Yes; that work was one of my first serious ones and I just wanted to make a good impression I'll follow your advice

Hi guys! The last thing I've working on: a forum skin. It's still far from being finished, but I'd like to know your opinions
