Hiya,

 

Just looking to get some feedback on the look and feel of www.evehickey.com

 

Please note THIS IS NOT A FINISHED SITE I realise that to really gain employment in web design I must have a decent portfolio online that consists of much more than just a CV but for now this is what I have had the time to do. More to come soon.

 

I put this up in the sitepoint forum for review recently. Just interested to hear views from a different type of community.

and in IE8 your 'stars' don't line up with the skill

As a person who is visually impaired, that green is almost impossible to read on the white background.

 

The 'My name and my face' bit made me laugh though

I'd align top ME and GOALS (looking tha in FF 3.6)

nice but lime green isn't a colour I would choose.

Seems like I should check it in more versions of browsers. Any suggestions on a good (free) software for cross browser testing? (do they all test in different versions of the same browser?)

Awesome list! I'm quite inspired to scrap my old MS Word CV and go all Photoshop on it! +1

i'd be careful. you'd want to make sure its amazing. First impressions are extremely improtant and if you dont nail the CV design its a terrible start! in my opinion you should really leave the cv pretty basic and let your portfolio do the talking. maybe vamp up your cv a bit to show you have flair but i certainly wouldnt do antyhing too mental!
