Hi Im Starting up a new e-commerce store for food shopping online.

 

The name is Grocer-Eeze (sounded out groceries)

 

I have been struggling to find a noticeable, simple but proffesional design.

 

I have this one at the moment and would appreciate your guys opinion on it and ways to improve it.

Wow that is a massive logo, are you able to provide a jpg/png of the overall web template?

 

I ask as then I/others would be able to see the logo where it is going as well as how the site will look to see if it matches the overall layout/design.

At the moment, no part of it suggests groceries to me at all. Although, perhaps (as mentioned above) we could see it in the context of the site it would make more sense.

Sorry probably my fault in miscommunication. The site is currently being built and has no relation to the logo at this current point. The logo needs to have both relation to the world of online shopping hence the magnifying class and groceries. But im finding it very difficult to intertwine the two within a logo. Any ideas?

As kCooper said, no part of it says groceries to me either. It actually looks like a search logo. Also, just as a point, refrain from putting it on special backgrounds to try and jazz up the logo. Let the logo stand on its own.

 

To try and get ideas, so an idea web. Core idea in the middle and anything that comes to mind spider off that, and then keep branching off ideas off the ideas (like a spider web).

Cheers i just wanted to show it on something other than a black background. I dont usually put it on textured backgrounds i just so happened to this time. The search logo was something i thought i would include as you are searching for the foods you want to order but the grocery idea is probably more important and i have no new ideas at the moment.

You could maybe use a banana for the 'c' in grocer.

 

Try and give it a linked look to what the user will be buying.

See this became my problem when trying to design it.

 

I want it to be as proffesional as possible and by putting a banana in it doesnt seem to give it that professional look i was after.

You have managed to create a simple logo, but I think you need to totally re think it and try and incorporate something to do with groceries in the logo. The text is too harsh as well.

Maybe enbose the type onto a basket?

I was thinking of going for more of a text type logo. Such as tesco, asda etc. How would you recommend me to go about this?

In 1996 the typeface of the logo was changed to the current version with stripe reflections underneath, whilst the corporate font used for store signage was changed from the familiar "typewriter" font that had been used since the 1970s

Look at the history of these and see if you can brainstorm some simalarities?

 

I would say You could do with the type and but make the logo custom slightly?

 

A basic type only Wont be that great in my opinion in todays age.

I like the last one but I wouldn't go anywhere near a comic font.

Mark that is inspirational work right there may I ask what type that is? And thanks alot I will work towards that.

Something seems off on the kerning. If I remember on that fon't the default kerning is typically best. Did you alter it any?

 

Edit: Just typed it out on my computer. Doesn't appear like you did. Maybe you should edit it a little. It seems off to me. But maybe it is just me?

The kerning? Is this like the type or something? In terms of the type i typed it out as usual.
