January 30, 200818 yr Has anyone got any experience of these guys for reseller hosting? I am favouring them for their reseller package but before I commit want to get some feedback. I know there is cheaper but have moved passed the days of looking for the cheapest. i want someone that is not going to let me down and that i can re-sell with confidents. Anyone know anything good or bad please?
January 30, 200818 yr I've heard really good things about them and they seem to be a really good up-and-coming web host. If you want to stick with a UK host, they are probably one of your better options.
January 30, 200818 yr Agreed, they just got voted PCPro Magazine web host of the year: Link: http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/pcproawards.shtml I would recommend them highly, especially for UK Resellers or if your just wanting to host multiple domains.
January 30, 200818 yr I have a reseller package with them and I find them a pretty good hosting company. I have had my account for almost a year now and my sites are hardly ever down. On the rare occassion any of my sites are down it is usually back up again pretty quickly.
January 30, 200818 yr They were formed a few years ago by some people that left Webfusion. Initially they suffered from complaints of poor support and server issues but recently people have been saying good things which indicates they've got their act together.
January 30, 200818 yr I didn't know that Rob, that's interesting. I signed up to them about 2 months ago. This forum actually raised my awareness to them as I never had heard of them before. I've been happy so far, and the support response rate is very quick. From my point of view I would reccomend them as i've been with some hosts previously where it can take upto 72 hours for a response. Give them a go
February 3, 200818 yr These guys are absolutely top banana. Extremely reliable and their support is second to none. I'm using the reseller account with Hostpay. See www.spalford.com for a look at how it works. Use them with confidence.
February 5, 200818 yr I really want to go with heart, but I cant afford it at the moment, when I have some clients they maybe I will resell, but right now I can't afford it with my current job and all the other bills I have.
March 16, 200818 yr I'd always be wary of the "unlimited" word, has anyone fallen foul of this or heard reports of people coming up against the usual fair usage policies?
March 16, 200818 yr I've been thinking about hosting lately.... Now I operate on a very small scale but I have a few sites on the go and if I suddenly had to buy hosting for them all it would cost me hundreds (possibly thousands) to set up again. If you have all your sites with one company there is an element of risk that all your sites could disappear in one go in the event of a crisis (a company going bust for example). I pay most of mine a few years in advance. A lot can happen in two years. The internet (after all) is the virtual world equivalent of a second hand car market. As far as my customers are concerned I have charged them for the hosting (a couple of years in advance). If the hosting company has problems I'm the one picking up the bill. So maybe you should stick your sites with two or three different suppliers to protect yourself.
March 22, 200818 yr personally I don't think its a good idea going for a reseller from anyone. If you want to start small then maybe go for a vps(virtual private server). An unmanaged dedicated server is another option you can usually pick them up quite cheaply.
November 3, 200817 yr Hi! Is anyone know how to integrate Hostpay into a unique design? Design can be changed with images but i would like to use my own work without stuck with the look of hostpay.
November 4, 200817 yr Hi all! I sue the Heart Internet resellers package and tbh don't have any real complaints. There isn't much I can't do in my account and I can brand pretty much everything to my own design. Uptime has been (touch wood) very good, the only time a site has ever been down is when a client has breached a certain term. 24 SERVER USAGE [updated 05/09/08] 24.1 Should your web hosting account use more than 5% of the servers processing power and as a result have a detrimental effect on other customers we will discuss with you alternative solutions for your hosting requirements. The above has happened to a few of my sites that require people to download certain files on certain days, and can sometimes be 70 odd people downloading 2 or 3 files each in the space of a few hours. Apart from that, no problems, and would highly recommend Heart Internet
